Bottle.Dark with a velvet beige head. Aroma of brown dark sugar, coffee, licorice and toasted malts. Flavour of toasted malts, coffee, a little sweetness with notes of brown sugar as well as candied sugar. Has a solid bitterness but lacks complexity adn power yet still has some elements working for it. lassem (652) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 5, 2010
Bottle from Ølbutikken, Copenhagen. 33 cl. The pour in a tulip-glass reveales a body that is dark brown with a light brown head thathas an orange glow. The nose had sweet aromas like vanilla and chocolate. A bit of burned malt, cloves and other spices. No doubt that this one takes it place among the way we normally think christmas beers around here. The taste reveales some tobacco notes but is still dominated of the vanilla and chocolate. The alcohol is present as a side note. It all ends up in a creamy feeling and sweet finish. Good beer. sayravai (4710) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 5, 2010

) Very dark brown with no head. Aroma of herb liquour, spices, anise and licorice. Flavor is slightly burned-roasty-malty, a touch sweet, with lots of licorice and herbs. Medium to full body, flat carbonation, a bit sticky, yet slightly thin. In a way quite pleasant, but the slight burnedness and lack of carbonation cost some points.
Clear dark mahogany with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with burned malt, espresso, smoke and liqeurice. Flavour was somewhat smoked with roasted malt, smoke and espresso. Finished smoked. mjs (7590) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 30, 2009
(Draught at Pikkulintu) Poured black with small and white head. Aroma contained coffee, roastedness and chocolate. Palate was full bodied and dry with very low carbonation - almost felt like real ale. Flavours were roastedness, coffee, hops, bitterness, hint of sweetness and some spiciness. Aftertaste was roasty and bitter. yespr (47077) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - DEC 29, 2009
