Our new winter ale. Available from the end of November. Brewed with lots of spices but they won’t be overwhelming in both aroma and flavour.

FaithHealer1 (358) - SCOTLAND - MAR 22, 2012
Keg at North Bar, Leeds (Lowlands Festival). Pours a murky coppery brown, small head that quickly dies. Aroma is malts and spicy, really nice and slightly unfathomable combo of spices here. Hint of tobacco as well. Taste is again really interesting - malty, slightly fruity (raspberry), spicy - clove, bit of cinnamon, juniper. Marie tang right on the end. Sweet, ling finish. It’s a bit sweet and a bit flawed, but I really like this one.

skortila (5985) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - MAR 18, 2012
On tap. The aroma has sweet, toasted malts, lots of spices. Hazy, red-brown coloured beer with a creamy, beautifull, off-white head. The taste is sweet, caramel malty, has lots of spice (cinnamon/clove). Nicely balanced. Full bodied.

olio (10541) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAR 10, 2012
33 cl bottle. Bottled 15.1.2011.
Pours hazy red color with small head. Aroma of berries, sugar, malts, caramel and mild spices. Flavor of caramel, spices, dark berries, flour and malts. Stuffy and creamy palate, long sweet aftertaste.

laiti (8513) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAR 10, 2012
33 cl bottle @ home, bottled 15.11.2011, BBE 15.11.2013
Aroma is rather sweet with sugar and berries. Also hints of vegetables. Flavour is sweet with berries, sugar, toffee and some vegetables. Sticky palate. Hoppy aftertaste with warming alcohol. Too sweet and too much berries.

lusikka (7833) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAR 10, 2012
330 ml bottle. Bottled on 15.11.2011.
Pours a dark amber colour with a small white head. Aroma of sweet berries, some birch leaves and toffee. Flavour of sweet berries, toffee, toasted malts, some weird stuffy spiciness and hops. Medium bodied, dry mouthfeel and an overly sweet and dry finish. Homebrewish and way too sweet, I’d say.

tiong (7610) - Espoo, FINLAND - MAR 10, 2012
330ml bottle

Bottling date 15/11/2011 - Pours reddish brown with a tiny bubbly head. Strong aroma of berries, spices, syrup and earthy notes. Taste is quite spicy with a lot of berries and some sweet caramel malts. Finish is sticky and long lasting with some alcohol notes, spices and hints of bitterness. Okay, slightly unbalanced spicy ale.

TET (3205) - Kaarina, FINLAND - MAR 3, 2012
A dark brown beer with a weak and blond head. Aroma is dark malty, sweetness, interesting spicyness, anise, juniper, some vegetables that disappeared after beginning. Taste is rich and malty, quite sweet, piney, juniper, spicyness, ginger. Full- bodied, almost uncarbonated, smooth to drink. Succesfull, spicy beer, but spices are balanced and not overhwelming everything, reminds slightly at Haandbryggeriet Norwegian Wood.

mjs (7675) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 22, 2012
(Bottle, 0.33 l - bottled on 15/11/2011, at Pikkulintu, 20120222) The beer poured reddish brown and hazy. Its head was small and white. Aroma had spices and malts. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were spices, sweetness, caramell, mildly roasted malts and low bitterness. Spices were pleasantly mild but the almos total lack of carbonation was disappointing.

sayravai (4711) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 18, 2012
(Bottled) Hazy darkish red with a very small head. Lots of dried fruit, some fermented strawberry jam, and notes of glue in the nose, with a touch of spices. Flavor is more spicy with cardamom, loads of dried fruit, alcohol well hidden. Quite full body, sticky palate with low CO2. Quite sweet and sticky, but an enjoyable brew as such, with all the dried fruitiness (but also the strawberry). 5447

MotherBrother (945) - Aalborg, DENMARK - FEB 15, 2012
Tap @ De Molen. Pour deep amber, with a solid two-finger off-white head. Aroma is nutty, caramel, prunes, raisins. lots of malts. Taste is rather sweet. Thin - medium bodied, with a fizzy carb.
