Flat black pour with no head. Smells like gasoline. A lot of roasted malt, some mild sweetness, a hint of fruit, and some licorice. A bit of cola and grape soda, too. The flavor is a bit solventy with some fruity and sugar sweetness. Lots of roast and prunes on the palate as well.

joergen (28387) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 1, 2012
Draught at Borefts Bier Festival 2012. Dark brown coloured with a small beige head. Sweet and roasted aroma of dark chocolate with notes of caramel. Sweet and roasted flavour of dark chocolate and cocoa powder. Sweet and roasted finish.

Draft @ Borefts 2012. The Molen whey beer - murky brown wine-hued mess looking with no head - smells like cocoa powder, butter, instant brownie mix, mocha, whey - the taste instantly explains to you what whey is, taste like whey, lightly off-milky fermenting old cheese type of stuff maybe something akin to that - it is that mixed with instant cake mix, mocha, stale coffee, even more whey, cocoa and chocolate milk powder - it is like a cake that collapsed in the oven - you can tell that this is not what it should have been, it was probably never meant for great thing - either they didn’t care - put this one because it would be weird not having a whey stout since many other breweries did go along with the theme or they actually dig this - I think they didn’t care much - it is a collapsed cake made with weird ingredients - little sour mocha - not much in the way of carb.

On tap at Borefts. Heavy, sweet malty aroma , traditional stout appearance with a quickly diminishing head. Full sweet bodyfeel, overly sweet chocolate flavour. Dryish aftertaste.

Abio (1868) - BERMUDA - SEP 30, 2012
Black, ok head but dissapears a bit quick. ... The smell is for me horrible, I’m not sure what it is (never smelled whey before, but can imagine it is that...), a bit like some cowstables. Glue at the taste. This is not good. Aftertaste some chocolate, but won’t make up the rest of the beer. I’m sorry, I can’t give this one more, I really did not like this one.

Idiosynkrasie (7604) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - SEP 30, 2012
On tap at 4th Borefts. Black colour with fading macropore head. Dark malty aroma has notes of coffee and chocolate, also a novel sourish touch that must stem from the whey. Taste is sweet-and-sour, sugared coffee, cappuccino. Light body.

Draft at Borefts. Flat black. Aroma of bitter dark cocoa and pepper. Oddly sour and peppery.

goozen (4081) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - SEP 29, 2012
Tap at Boreft Beer Festival, Bodegraven 2012: Opaque black coloured brew unless the low alcohol its quite sweet tasty with a milky appearance.

Benzai (15726) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - SEP 29, 2012
Draught @ Borefts 12. Brownish color, no head. Smell almost nothing. Taste is weird and not what I like. Can’t describe it really. Just off. And weird.

3.8
DutchDrebus (6031) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - SEP 29, 2012
Borefts 12. Murky brown to black colour, no head. Smells chocolate, roasty, sweet. Tastes dark chocolate, sweet, roasty and a coffee aftertaste. Medium body, soft carbo.
