Bottle (trade with the great Koelschtrinker). A gusher - beware! Espresso, balsamic vinegar, and sweet dark chocolate aroma. Cloudy dark brown color with explosive head initially but fades very quickly. Sweet mocha flavor up front followed by bitter/astringent coffee bean/grassy hops finish. Cannot detect any weasel poop in this at all. Despite the gimmick of this beer, it is very nice. ricke (476) - Malme, SWEDEN - FEB 2, 2010
Basically black with an absolutely ridiculously big tanned head. I opted for my biggest snifter for this one, and it got filled with airy foam after just a minimal pour. The damn thing has nerve to dissipate at eonic time frame as well, so it takes a while for it to settle.
The aroma has lots of powdered coffee notes and espresso notes to it. Some roasted malts, chocolate, esters and chemicals (watercolor paint) as well.
The taste is quite intense and filled with powdered coffee aromas and bitter espresso flavors. Some sweetness and notes of caramel, roasted malts and a hint of spicy hops. The coffee and roasted malts get slightly acidic and tannic sometimes. The finish has a pleasant coffee bitterness to it and notes of chocolate, coffee and a hint of chemicals.
The body is fairly light for the style and due to the excessive carbonation it’s really easy on the palate. Drinkability is therefore dangerously high, and there’s no sign of the ABV.
This is good stuff. The intense coffee character really puts the coffee junkie in me at rest. I love how De Molen’s light stout character goes with the coffee aromas. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - FEB 2, 2010
Back color with a small tan head. Aroma is roasty as hell with nice coffee undertones. Flavor is again all roasted malt and coffee. andersand (529) - Malmö, SWEDEN - JAN 31, 2010
Basically black a huge lively head. Lots of coffe in the nose, some chocolate and other dark malt components but they are almost drowning in the coffe. Intense sharp coffe flavour and harsh almost acidic malt. Ends on a dry roasted note with lingering coffe. Rather light bodied and very easy to drink with very well hidden alcohol. If youre a coffe addict this is your cup of beer. HenrikSoegaard (14235) - Randers, DENMARK - JAN 30, 2010
Petit Bottle. Creamy lightbrown excellent fully lasting head. Black colour.
Fantastic powerfull nice complex aroma with nice coffee and vanilla and chocolate notes. Heavy bitter roasted flavor. More roast than coffee. Long nice heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate but way too fizzy. Nice coffeestout.

Courtesy Bierkoning. Black/brown, huge foamy tan head. Roasted coffee, bittersweet dark chocolate, earthy dark fruits. Medium/full body, balanced carbonation, dry finish. Great coffee stout. GodOfThunder (1249) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JAN 24, 2010

Black with a huge beige head. Aroma of coffee, toasted malts, dark fruit, chocolate, brown sugar, vanilla and a touch of lemon. Nice aroma. Flavour of toasted malts, a good amount of licorice, alcohol, some sweet á la burned caramel and a strong burned bitterness with a hint of coffee. Enjoyit (3809) - Vadum, DENMARK - JAN 22, 2010
Black of color with a fast disappearing beige head. An aroma of burnt malt, liqurice and coffee. A flavor of liqurice, roasted malt and coffee. A finish with alcohol and liqurice.
