japi (159) - Neubrandenburg, GERMANY - DEC 17, 2015
Dark-brown coloured beer with an off white head. Modarate intensive aroma with notes of coffee, chocolate, pepper. Taste: starts with malty sweetness, followed by a long hoppy, bitterness. Very complex. Oily texture, soft carbonation.

Cerbier (805) - - DEC 2, 2015
0,33l Flasche. Dunkelbraunes fast schwarzes Bier, etwas beiger Schaum. Riecht nach Röstmalzen und Kaffee, schmeckt intensiv nach Kaffee und Bitterschokolade. Trotzdem kommt noch der typische eines Stout durch. In der Textur ölig voluminös.

33cl bottle (bottled 24/01/13 and probably bought at Vinmonopolet Vika, Oslo). Pours Very dark brown with almost no head at all. Did open it when it was still a bit to cold and then the aroma was surprisingly modest. As it gains temperature it opens up and the strong coffee aroma gets quite obvious. Nice roasty aroma with lot of coffee, some cocoa, earthy notes, dark fruits and hints of licorice, vanilla and wood. Medium sweet, surprisingly easy to drink and feels much lighter than expected. Alcohol is well integrated. Flavourful and certainly nice, but feels a bit thin somehow.

kurczako (140) - POLAND - OCT 17, 2015
Piwo dwa lata po terminie, zestarzało się nieziemsko. Bardzo intensywny aromat, kawa, czekoladowość, paloność, suszone owoce. W smaku niezwykle gęste, oblepia kubki smakowe. Szlachetny alkohol rozgrzewa. Piwo rozpływa się w ustach. Jeśli gdziekolwiek natraficie, polecam, jedno z najlepszych piw w życiu!

Vintage 2013. Bottle shared with kurczako. Cheers, Łukasz! Aroma: Coffee, fruit, cherry, some espresso fruit. Appearance: Great head, forming like nitrogen, black, head is quite low but nice lacing and very durable. Taste: Bit of coffee sourness, coffee, coffee, coffee, great coffee, also cherry, other fruits, medium-high coffee bitterness. Palate: Finish is medium sweet and coffee biterness, carbonation is low, body is full.

Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate & caramel. Brown/black with tanned head. Sweet chocolate, cocoa & coffee in the taste. Medium body, oily texture & soft carbonation. Long warm finish.

wozap (891) - Węgorzewo, POLAND - SEP 29, 2015
Wijsbier & De Molen. Niskie nasycenie.

neongolden (1649) - Linköping, Sweden/Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 17, 2015
(330ml 24/01/2013 bottle @ PiBar, Lausanne, Aug 11 2015) Pours black with a fairly small whitish head fading to a ring without lace. Aroma is pungent roasted coffee beans, very earthy, ashy, liquorice, sweet chocolate and dark malt core restrained but there in support of the big roast bitterness. On the palate, a big roasty coffee note, earth, soy, liquorice, bitter chocolate, sweet dark malt is restrained and only shows up when warm. Finish has lots of coffee roast, burnt and ashy with some earth, just a hint of alcohol heat. Medium full but slick with fairly soft carbonation. Coffee really stands out here, malt gives it proper support, a little less rich and more harshly roasted than Brunch Weasel, De Molen style. Probably good they stopped making it, but glad I got to try it.
