Tap @ de Molen. Slight hazy golden color, thick creamy white head. Aroma of some caramel malt, soft grassy and floral hops. Taste is slightly sweet and only medium bitter, but much more bitter if you compare it with regular Lentebokken, though not even near IPA-levels. Especially a lot of body on this one. Good flavorful version. ekstedt (6772) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - APR 11, 2013
Draught at the Ölrepubliken tap takeover. Hazy orange amber, medium off-white head. Bready malt aroma, spicy and herbal hops. Meidum bodied, medium carbonation. Semi dry, medium bitterness. SimplySike (1498) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - MAY 30, 2013

Golden bodied with creamy light bubbly. Smooth body, Sugary at first but also enough fullness and hop backup. Aroma disappoints though, simple malts and cereal. Taste is totally different. Drinks well. Just the aroma is lacking behind the rest. (33cl bottle traded with Rob, thanks!) GoufCustom (1998) - HONG KONG - JUL 24, 2013

330 ml bottle bought at The Bottle Shop in Sai Kung.
Cloudy hazy dark amber colour with dusty yeast sediments; Half-finger head and off-white foam which lasts for 2 minutes; Fairly good lacing and notable carbonation; Very nice and fragrant aroma of grapefruit, orange, honey, molasses, ale malt, toffee, and light caramel. Aroma can be smelt a feet away; Pleasant sweet taste of grapefruit, floral petals, ale malt, light caramel, burnt toffee, light chocolate, light liquorices, spices, bitter lime, and very grassy hops; Medium body, slick and quite thick palate; Taste profile is sweet and very hoppy light caramel ale base. Grapefruit is quite refreshing, brings out the caramel and burnt toffee characters in full force. Quite a brew! The 7.3% alcohol is very well hidden and managed throughout. Definitely invisible during most of the session and works on you ever so slowly. Excellent! Hoppiness definitely packs a punch, with full force grapefruit nose, moderate liquorices and sharp lime taste, and a pretty seductive astringency all through the end to balance the sweetness. Very nice! Fairly dry after taste; Very sweet grapefruity and tasty to mouth.
Comments: Not your typical German Hellerbock, but a modern, fusioned boozed-up IPA. The grapefruit nose and taste is not mind-blowing, but still fresh and loud enough to pay attention. Sweetness and hops is well balanced, and booze is glowing and warming, very well managed and expressed. A very nice fusion bock with room for improvement to be truly great.

aroma: mout, citrus, zoet, hop
smaken: matig tot redelijk zoet, redelijk bitter, sterk, zwak fruitig, redelijk moutig, redelijk kruidig
medium body, gladde/romige smaak, lage co2
redelijk kruidig, echter niet extreem maar eerder een zachte kruidige smaak, wederom een geslaagd bier van de Molen
33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Hazy copper colour, dense white head. Aroma of sweet flowers, light bready malts, nice grassy and light fruity hops. Flavour is medium-sweet, floral, fruity, bread, firm malty and grassy hoppy bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Tasty and imo a nice example of how good a heller bock can taste. Keg at Brewdog Birmingham. Smells like malt. Flavour, e.g. Taste, is good: it’s malty. Also errrrrrr some kind of mofo lager notes. Like it, but don’t know why. Clean, full, sticky Germanic malt; with a lowland twist. tsvanlaar (13) - - APR 26, 2013
Lots of hop and lots of flavour. The taste of the beer lasts very long but doesn't have a lot of depth.

33 cl bottle @ home. Light amber color, slightly hazy. Off white head, with small layer retention. Aroma’s: malt, caramel, citrussy hops, some fruit (apricot). Retronasal the (flowery) hops are a bit more prominent, but not extreme. Flavor is moderately bitter with a light malty sweetness for balance. Body is medium, albeit a bit thin. Moderate bitter finish. Pretty authentic (German) Heller Bock.
