Very fruity aroma. The taste is fruity, a little wholesome and good. Lovely bitterness that fills the upper part of the mouth for a long time. Tasty and easy to drink the IPA. Follow me @ Kung av l @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

330mL bottle from International Beer Collector - BB 02/03/17 Lively opening; pours a big fluffy head atop a murky looking copper body. Punchy nose to it - plenty of hop with notes of grapefruit, orange, pine, passionfruit, with some malts malts beneath, Body is full, high carbonation, smooth slick sort of texture. Palate delivers bitter orange, pine sap & unripe tropical fruitiness hop notes, with a measure of biscuity & caramel malt. Bitterness somewhat moderate for style, easy sort of finish. Tasty stuff, goes down a treat!

Bottle at the Spotted Dog, Birmingham. Bright yellow, big froth. Yeasty, floral gum hops. A gobful of sweet smacking lick chop. Nice.

Vintage 2/21/2002... Malty caramel, dried fruit (apricot), leather, aged floral/earthy hops; amber orange color, airy beige head; nice combination of sugary maltiness (dates, caramel) and a nice aged hoppiness (dried citrus peel, earthy, slightly herbal), mild tobacco and leather, moderate sweetness; medium body, smooth, still a good level of carbonation, a bit slick on the tongue; the label indicated that this would only be good for 2 years from the brew date, but I would say that its holding up quite nicely for being over 13.5 years old and its become more of a light barleywine.
