(Draught at Café Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 1 Aug 2010) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, chocolate and dark bread. Roasted, malty taste with notes of coffee, chocolate, dark rye bread and a decent coffee bitterness in a dry finish. Thin body, dry. Very promising aromas, but the taste doesn’t really deliver what expected. Not that it is much different, it’s just less of everything. Enough complaining, it is still a very nice beer ... and highly drinkable. harrisoni (18570) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - SEP 1, 2010
Bottle from Kent BF 2010. Black with thickish dark beige head. Touch of tar, lots of lovely choc on the aroma. It’s somewhere between a dark mild and a light ABV stout. I do rather like it. It’s like a choccy dark mild from the UK. It has some good bite on the finish as well. it’s a very decent drinkable session beer, that I would be happy to see down the pub. lusikka (7813) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 1, 2010

Deep black colour with an off-white head. Roasted coffee, chocolate and smoke on the nose, very stout-like. Very dry flavor with notes of cocoa. Light bodied with a slick mouthfeel. Dry finish. Not bad for 3,9 % abv.
Tap @ Nederlands Biercafe ‘t Arendsnest. Pours a brown-black body with a big off-white top, spilling over my neat little sample "pint-style" glass at the bar. Aroma is pronounced dark chocolate and roasted malts. Taste reveals some more toast and hints of coffee. Extremely drinkable. For such a low ABV stout, this really packs a lot of punch, it’s an amazing session beer. Mad props and originality points to De Molen for this lovely little creation. Bottle. Pours out darker brown, a good holding beige head with a good size. The looks aren’t to bad at all. Roasted, coffee, spices and alcohol comes up at the smell. Taste is watery at the start to end at a bitter roasted taste. A bit plain, but not a bad beer. Misses something... Nice dry finish, and not bad for this abv.

Bottle that I think that I picked up from Brouwerij De Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands June 2010, consumed 25.08.10 Pours murky puddle brown, breaking away at edges. There is some alcohol noted on nose despite the relative lack of abv. Taste is very full on for the strength, nutty with a soft tanginess, there is some roastiness but again its soft and not at all harsh, some burnt toast. I like this beer, for the strength its bloody great. A6 A3 T7 P4 Ov13 3.3 KimJohansen (10492) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - AUG 25, 2010

UPDATED: SEP 2, 2010 Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours an opaque dark brown with a beige head. Comes gushing with a violent carbonation. Lovely hard roasted and chocolatey malts in the nose. Light body, heavy carbonation, dark roastiness and again some chocolate. Has some dry ashes and malty bitterness in the finish. 250810 JorisPPattyn (9981) - Ursel, BELGIUM - AUG 22, 2010
Dense, large head, over near black beer. Dry stout nose, roasted, charcoal, tobacco ash. Very dry flavour. Coffee, stoutish. Seems very well-bodied, is very slick, with a creamy texture, but the finish betrays the real OG. Nice try - Menno going Nanny State !
