Pleasant sour aroma. Taste is very fresh and has chocolate in a way reminiscent of a cocoa drink. A lot of good taste for such a low ammount of alcohol

Draught at Monks Porterhouse, Stockholm. Pours out in a hazy dark brown colour with a creamy off-white head. Mild aroma of milky chocolate and cocoa in the aroma. Light-bodied with with touches of roasted malts, nuts, cocoa-powder and currant-leaves. Thin and rather lifeless mouthfeel. Medium-bitter finish of cocoa and currant-leaves. Quite an average offering from the Molen.

750 ml corked bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 3.9%. OG 1035, FG 1009. Brewed 18. March 2010, bottled 15. April 2010. Bittering hop is Premiant, late hop Saaz. 38.4 EBU. Very carbonated, the glass fills completely by a tan foamy head, and the very dark brown (nearly black) beer appears slowly. Nice aroma of roasted malts and chocolate, some woody notes too. Light bodied, quite dry flavour with moderate roasty notes, hints of coffee, charcoal, tobacco and wood. Drinkable, but not impressive.

Shared with Travlr. Highs: interesting - sip is very light coffee with slight overtones of roast - really nice and mild! Aftertaste lingers on a burnt note. Lows: not the overwhelming expectation of flavors one would expect from a stout.

750 ml bottle courtesy of steptin, thanks once again! Our finishing beer, first night of my Germany trip. Dark murky brown color, huge and fluffy ice cream cone beige head. Aroma of Hershey bar. Taste is highly carbonated, mild unsweetened cocoa, like an Italian chocolate soda. Interesting.

Fin øl, men litt for koirt! Jeg kjenner kaffe, en smule bitter kakao, men ølen mangler litt "omf"...

Nose: A bit soapy nose. Taste: Unbelivable taste of absolutley nothing. I passed my glass around to four others and but neither of us could find any taste what so ever.
