mR_fr0g (14024) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 29, 2015
Bottle shared at Leighton’s gaff. Thanks to Colin Bois. Clouded reddy amber coloured pour with a small halo of offwhite head. Aroma is sweet berry, farmyard, farty, strawberry, nutty, berry. Flavour is composed of sweet, nutty toffee grains, fruity berry. Palate is slightly sticky, moderate carbonation, grainy on the tongue and a little thin. Bit too sweet and lacks depth.

Christian (13927) - Odense, DENMARK - OCT 14, 2012
Bottle at Carlsen. Hazy amber with a big off-white head. Malty aroma with some peach and pine notes. Sweetish malty flavour with pine hops and a good bitter finish

bierkoning (13813) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - SEP 15, 2011
Bottle. Dark amber color. Malt, caramel and berries in the aroma. Firm hopbitter flavor with laurel, caramel and berries. A strong earthy aftertaste. Sweetish but powerful.

Rune (13732) - Tromsø, NORWAY - DEC 22, 2011
330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Vika, Oslo. Huge, fawn-coloured head that stays well in the glass covering an unclear amber body. Fragile lace. Smell of earthy malts with notes of petrol. Flavoured with dark spices and earthy, caramel malts. Bittersweet aftertaste. The beer lost some of its flavour and body after a while. Quite alright, but not on par with the De Molen range (Tromsø, 17.12.2011).

Bov (13354) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JAN 15, 2012
from Erzbierschof - cloudy dark brown beer with a huge foamy beige foam; flowery, honey and slightly dusty aroma; velvety palate and quite full-bodied, some sweetness and a moderate bitterness; earthy and flowery, malty finish

330 ml bottle. Bottled 22/Jun/2011. From bierzwerg.de.
Clear dark amber colour with a ridiculously huge foamy head. Very malty aroma. Extremely malty aroma. Some floral hops and sweetness there too. The flavour is hops, bitterness, malt, alcohol and Well, I’m not quite sure what this is supposed to be? It might be exactly that but it’s not something I like.

Thx. to Sebletitje for sharing this one // 33 cl. bottle sampled @ Tim’s De Molen & assorted beers tasting // bottled on 08/04/2012 // pours a bright golden / light amber with a fluffy white head // smell is of sweet white bread, hops, sugar, fruits, sweet herbs & even more sweet spices, cheap American cheese slices & touch of yogurt // taste is yoghurt, sugar, American cheese slices, light vegetables, bitter herbs, lots of Molen yeast, flowers, thick baking floor, bakers yeast, herbal bitter // full Molen yeasty body // its weird but I don’t think that it infected or anything, Molen sometimes simply brews this kinds of herbal / spice / whatever beers & they taste like this, even fresh, prefect condition, whatever,… // its not my thing but I didn’t find it as atrocious as the others, just weird stuff

Fin (11059) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 20, 2015
Bottle via Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham, consumed at home Sunday 19th July 2015 Amber on the pour with a filmy head, a little toffee on the nose and in the mouth though with a spicy edge, yeasty and with a hop tingle. This is far better than I expected in fact I really like it. A7 A3 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5

pivnizub (10906) - Bochum, GERMANY - JAN 6, 2012
Bottle: Hazy, reddish-amber coloured, lacy off-white head, moderate caramelly fruity and distinctive hoppy nose; robust bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, pretty soft; dry lingering - with hops sticking to the palate - hoppy finsh, balancing sweet dried fruits and malt in the aftertaste. Very good English Strong Ale, even though brewed in the Netherlands…
