Aroma is a bit unpleasant with berries, some gooseberry bush and nettles. Flavour has gooseberry bush, nettles and berries. Weird and not good.
pours clear amber, big white foam .
smell is pretty .. unique..
sweet, faded hops ( bottle is over a year old , so that makes sence ) , combined with bread( dough ) , orange ( much orange )
damn thats to much carbo ! WAY to much carbo !
intresting amberish-hoppy-taste. nice one, but imma have to give this a lower rate cause its almost undrinkably carbonated. whyyyyyyyyyyyyy????? The_Osprey (8211) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 24, 2013
Slightly chilled bottle. Two years and one day old. Dark orange/red with the usual huge head which endures. Smell - old ale, caramel, yeast, molasses, tangerine. Carbonation - mid to soft. Taste - typical De Molen caramel, liquorice, sweet honey flavours with a decent dose of bitterness. Enjoyable high quality beer. Not quite to my taste though, which reduces the rating slightly. 330 ml bottle. Bottled on 22.6.2011.Idiosynkrasie (7617) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JUL 25, 2012
Pours an amber colour with a small white head. Aroma of sweet berries, herbs and some grass. Flavour of sweet berries, sweet malts, herbs and quite bitter, grassy hops. Medium bodied, harsh mouthfeel and decent carbonation. Overall a harsh brew and quite homebrewish as well.
330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy reddish amber colour with huge, firm, frothy to creamy, lacing, white to off-white head. Aroma is slightly sweet toasted malty and minimally grainy, with some bitter hop emanating from the huge head, decent hints of dark fruit and chocolate. Taste is moderately sweet toasted malty, grainy, dark fruity notes transform to a chocolately touch. Sticky finish. Not to its disadvantage more lively carbonated than an "English" English Strong Ale. jonas (7611) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - AUG 28, 2013
Bottle. Dark ruby, light haze, offwhite cream. Berries, light leathery wooden nose. Citric hoppy entry. Goes from berries, orangepeel over tobacco, wood and spices to a very dry hoppy finish.
Fullbodied, dry mouthfeel.
Long fruitcaramel aftertaste. Very pleasant. larsga (7567) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 7, 2011
Gusher. Big offwhite head. Hazy deep red body with strong
carbonation. Fruity sugary funky aroma with wooden notes.
Dry-sweet resiny wooden fruity taste with sugary roasty notes.
Mid-bodied. Slightly harsh mouthfeel. Harshly bitter wooden
resiny aftertaste with funky sugary notes. Too harsh, sweet, and
funky. Disharmonic. (0.33l bottle, wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)
