Bottle, 8.5% bb 24.2.15. Hazy amber, no head. Smoke and rye bread aroma, leaves, bit of alcohol, old ale like. Dry chewy body, mellow mouthfeel. Light wooden and toasty, herbal and grassy in the back, roasted and chocolaty, great balance. Great beer, look forward to try the new version as well.

sfhodense (4788) - Odense NØ, DENMARK - JAN 2, 2012

stobbe74 (3789) - DENMARK - NOV 21, 2011
Pours a clear and dark copper beer with floaties and an offwhite head. The aroma is malt, caramel and hops. The flavor follows the nose with additional alcohol and sweetness. The palate is alcoholwarmth and sweetness. Overall a beer below average.

Martinus (4610) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - OCT 20, 2011
Slightly cloudy yellow, fluffy white head. Aroma of hops, grapefruit, citrus, grapes, slight passion fruit, malts and spicy yeast. Flavour malty with strong hop signature, pronounced bitterness, citrus, some sweetness. Dry hoppy finish. Quite a lot of yeast remaining in the bottle, the last 1/5 of the bottle turns up very hazy with yeast.
Molenbier, ABV 9,2%, BB 28/11/12.
Do have a feeling the beer in this bottle might be an alias or another beer, due to the big differences in aroma and colour in the descriptions.. Very tasty though.
(75cL bottle @ home, bought at the local windmill in Nijmegen)

11/07/2011 33cl bottle @ home - BB: 14/2/2015 (2011-319)

Little cloudy reddish amber coloured beer, no head. Aroma: very sweet malts, raisins, toffee and hint of mocha, ripe fruits, caramel, more mocha, candi sugar. Amazingly complex and interesting. MF: very little carbon, full body. Taste: sweet malts up front, bitter comes very fast and overtakes the sweetness completely. Orange peel, citrus notes, bit of grapefruit. Aftertaste: alcohol sweetness compensating the hops quite well, then a very bitter ending with a touch of citrus and bit of mocha. Alcohol work pretty numbing.

kerolasa (409) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 10, 2011
Read clear color, perhaps bit brown. Very light brown head. Sweet malty smell. Caramel taste. Hops come later, and are light. Texture is sticky. Not my favorite. I’d classify this as winter bock.
