(bottle, 33cl) Dark brown colour with a big and beige rocky foamy head. Roasty malty aroma with notes of cacao, leather, mocha and fruity notes of dark and dried berries. Sweet flavour with a well-blended hoppy and roasty bitterness, full bodied with a little fizzy feel on the tongue. Solid roasty malty and slightly molassy taste with cacao, dark chocolate, mocha and dried fruits; sweet and roasty bitter, also long lasting finish with notes of chocolate and coffee in the aftertaste. 11.VIII.10 dEnk (4201) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - AUG 10, 2010
Bottle @ home, howitzer cap, slight gusher.
Pours a deep black with an absolutely huge light brown head which basicly doesn’t dissipate, took forever to pour. Aroma of fruity and floral hops, yeast, caramel, mocca, dark/dried fruits, liquorice and lots more, awesome!
Flavour is creamy coffee, sweet and salt liquorice, fruity hops, earthy hops, caramel, faint smoke and mocca. Lingers on very long and fades away very smoothly.
Very nice hoppy stout. BoBoChamp (5755) - Gent, BELGIUM - AUG 9, 2010

Pours dark chestnut brown with a big, frothy, beige head. Aroma is sweet, lots of hazelnuts, light oak, chocolate, some slight tannins and roasted malts. Highish carbonation, fair creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is surprisingly limited for an impy, especially for a De Molen impy. Or, more likely, this isn’t as roasted as all other stouts are. Hazelnuts, milky chocolate, high vinousness. Fairly sweet as well. Not really my favourite De Molen, even though there is nothing really wrong with it.
Bottled. Very tall head. Yeast accented. Gentian and poppy seeds being quite present. Far from being great. NoiZe (2322) - Zeist, NETHERLANDS - JUL 25, 2010
Thnx Molenbrouwer. Black, dark brown colored brew. Licorice, chocolate, dried fruits and some roast in both flavor and aroma. Malty caramel sweetness. Very smooth and silky. Again a nice Imperial Stout. One for everyone to enjoy. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - JUL 14, 2010
Bottle from Bierkoning. Dark brown body with hazelnut head. Nice stout nose of dried fruits, caramel and some smoke. Taste of malts, berries and molasses. Smooth and rich texture. Sweet in the finish.
