pours very dark copper, good , very lightbrown head.
smell is best to be described as ’metallic ’ (dont know, if this might be infected, but its metallic in a way , it could actualy be the real scent. it sounds worse than it is )
good/ bit to high carbo, but this IS tastefull shit ! eathy, sweet, , very sweet actualy. i even get ... a cherry-like touch in it , reminding of a vlaams-oud-bruin a bit ... rating number somewhere beginning of 900, and no idea how to describe this taste. i’m a hitty rater, who drinks to good beers i gues ...
but tell you what, i WILL have this again, as i love it way , way more than i thought i’d do . so hopefully , by than, i can describe the taste a bit more. but up untill than, this tastes :
very, very complex. a mix between a vlaams oud bruin / abbey dubble / quadruppel . waaw... impressed antonstoop (295) - - JUN 11, 2013
UPDATED: JUL 8, 2013 This beer has a warm and malty smell. In the taste there is dark chocolate bitter touches, with roasted malts. It gives the beer a full bodied taste, which feels soft and sweet in the mouth. The beer reminds me a bit of the rochefort 10, my favorite quadruppel. so overall i found it a good quadruppel,

bottle shared (and saved) by tom10101 (from potential DP), thanks! pours very dark brown with a minimal beige head (had been sitting for at least one hour). dark caramel and raisins, very spicy - maybe anisseed, strong woodsy and old port notes, sweet red grapes, cloying red port. complex. soft carbonation (then again, it counter-stayed for an hour), medium to full body - heavy stuff, bittering grassy-spicy but still cloying finish. nuplastikk (6289) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 3, 2013
Tap at Brasserie V. Opaque brown-black body. massive creamy beige head. Big chocolate, vanilla tones. Rather unique, some oaty tones, smooth chocolate, and a pleasant, mild hop balance. Fruity undercurrents make it reminiscent of a Belgian Stout. Odd underlying pungency grows with each sip, think Imperial Milk Stout....or Belgo Imperial Milk Brown Stout, with a mellow Dutch mouthfeel. Brown chocolate, raisin, caramel tones. Quite a nice beer.

From a bottle that was left open on Tommy’s table, what must we do to get our ticks...right? Body is dark brown with no head at the moment of my pour so I can’t comment on that. Aroma is dark fruits, molasse and spices. Taste is really sweet and spicy. Overall a good belgian-style beer! tom10101 (6087) - Quebec, CANADA - MAY 31, 2013
Bottle (330 ml). Extra from Simon, thanks! Hazy reddish/brown with a huge mostly lasting brown head and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, spices, anise and chocolate. Taste is moderately sweet with roasted malt, anise, spices, caramel and chocolate. Alcohol well hidden. Medium body. Medium carbonation. This brew is quite complex, but I don’t like the spices/malt bill. beer_est_deus (1300) - örebro, SWEDEN - MAY 31, 2013
Cola färgad med stort brunt skum. Doft: Druv socker, mjölchoklads mint, rostade nötter. Smak: Bränt socker, rostade nötter, vanilj, choklad, grillad apelsin. jmgreenuk (9459) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - MAY 13, 2013
Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a deep mahogany colour with a frothy long-lasting tan head and lots of lace. The aroma is rich malty and of resin. The flavour is strong bitter with much liqourice and alcohol. The alcohol contributed to the bitterness, but thankfully didn’t burn. There is some oh so slightly sour citrus fruit on the palate too. I liked this beer a whole lot more than I thought I would! Lilja (3171) - Malmö, SWEDEN - MAY 7, 2013
Smak och doft av choklad, malt, humle med toner av karamell och sirap. Söt med tydlig beska. Alkoholen slår igenom lite för mycket.
