Pours black with a big foamy beige head. Aroma is plum, grape and light hops. Taste is fruity, sweet malt, small hop bitterness. Belgian candy sweetness overwhelms the back end.

Pours dark brown with thick frothy brown head. Nose of figs, spruce tips, yeast, old wood and dark fruits. Taste is as expected. Lots of plum, fig and dark fruits up front with a spicy hop and earthy wood finish.

Bottle at The Leeky Tap, Leek. Pours a deep brown colour with a thin beige head. Aroma of dark fruits, raisin, saltana, spice, some prune, slight burnt caramel and subtle chocolate. Taste of dark fruit, raisin, saltana, prune, some spice, slight caramel, a little toffee, treacle, a hint of liquorice and subtle chocolate. Full bodied and an oily texture. A warming, spicy fruit bitterness in the finish. A really complex Belgian/Imperial Stout, lots of spicy fruit, malt and coffee bitterness. Not 100% sure if I like it but it’s worth a taste.

Bottle, pours dark brown with stable beige head. Aroma of cocoa, coffee, coconut, caramel, raisins and chocolate pudding. Quite sweet in taste with almost no bitterness. A bit like a mixture of a sweet belgian ale and a RIS.

Butelka z datą: 05/01/21
AROMAT: Intensywny. Dominują kandyzowane owoce. W tle charakterystyczne dla De Molen’a nuty "zatęchłej wiejskiej piwnicy" oraz sos sojowy...
SMAK: Mało się dzieje. Słody z odrobiną karmelowego posmaku. Alkohol wyczuwalny, dobrze wkomponowany.
WYGLĄD: Barwa czarna, nieprzejrzyste z rubinowymi refleksami. Piana bardzo niska, krótka.
OGÓLNIE: Mocne, agresywne, generalnie słabiej ułożone od wersji BBA, co zresztą było do przewidzenia. Krótko mówiąc nie zachwyca...

Zwart bier zonder schuim. Smaak is krachtig, licht bitter en friszuur met iets van koffie, chocolade. Heeft een fris fruitig zure bijsmaak die goed past in het geheel.

24.1 plato. Dark seal color with ruby reflections, rather humble beige head, very nice lacing. Aroma is almost classical already - touch of chocolate, tons of coffee, dark, tanned, fudgy notes. Also some dehydrated plums, raisins. Dense but not very sweet one. Taste is also super beautiful. First it’s so delicate, so calm, gives just a touch of chocolate, raisins, dates. But just after this you’re getting massive super roasted coffee notes, punch of fudge which stays till the end of aftertaste. In the aftertaste you can find some roasted bitterness but it’s super delicate, rather small and short one supported by some dehydrated fruits. I was expecting a little bigger body from this beer bit it’s still ok. It’s smooth, creamy. Quite drinkable for an imperial stout-ish. Awesome beer.
