0.33 bottle from Hoppiness, Koper, Slovenia. Dark brown to black, small tan head, oily structure. Smoke, barrel, chocolate, licorice, rubber. Heavily wooden and smoked. Alcohol bite, sweet, malty, roasty, very dry finish. Wooden feeling in the finish. Lasting. Complex. Maybe to much smoke character. bytemesis (8768) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - AUG 17, 2015
Bottle thanks to roulhas! Pours inky black with a surprisingly large dark brown head that is super creamy and long lasting. Aroma is roasty, molasses, bourbon, somewhat burned and a bit smoky. Flavor is heavy roast leaning to burned, molasses a bit of rubber as well. Medium sweet and heavy bitter, light barrel influence overall. Full body and creamy mouthfeel. Bit of heat, but fairly subdued. thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 9, 2015
Bottle from Kris Wines. Almost black with a huge, creamy beige- brown head. Complex nose of chocolate, salted meat, caramel. Tastes sweetish, but good roasted and hints of smoke balances nicely. Hints of coffee. A masterbrew. daniele (9439) - ITALY - JUL 14, 2015

Bottle from Beermoth, Manchester. Pours black as the night. Brown caramel head. Heavy body. Sweet aroma. Sweet taste from the bourbon aging, together with rosted barley, coffee, chocolate. Really enjoyable beer from De Molen. Duncat (5) - Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 14, 2015 does not count
330ml bottle at home, bottled 17th September 2014
Aroma is soy sauce, slightly oxidised smell, vineous, dark, sweet. Very little head and some firm lacing.
Initial taste is sweet with a chocolatey note but jumbled with some odd flavours. Can’t really place them. A bitterness on the end.
Ok mouth feel, light carbonation, sticky, coats your mouth.
I was disappointed. Just didn’t do it for me, so many of the De Molen beers impressed me and this wasn’t one. WaW (17) - BELGIUM - APR 12, 2015
Pours pitch black, with a brown beige lasting head. Nice thick stout, full flavor, chocolaty and coffee, bourbon booze edge. Very good. Marduk (8058) - Reval, ESTONIA - APR 6, 2015
330ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Pitch black color. Tiny to almost no head. Woody, roast, wineous, very dark chocolate, plums, alcohol, in aroma. Smoky, roast, plums, woody, alcohol, sour, grape in taste. Woody, roast in aftertaste. Nice one!
