Geproefd met Roelzie1986, Inoven en Benzai bij het Brabants Bier festival in Oirschot. Het is een donker bruin bier zonder schuim. Het heeft een gebrande chocolade achtige smaak.

Keg at the 2017 Cambridge Beer Festival. Dark black, opaque, khaki head. Salted caramel and soft liquorice in the aroma. A balanced sweetness in the taste with salty and bitter undertones. Bitter hop asserts more dominance in the finish. Thick body, very well-carbonated. A classy if understated imperial stout.

Bottle (as Rasputin). Dark brown beer with rocky beige head. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, roasted malts, a bit of coffee liquor and dark fruits. Taste is medium sweet and bitter, chocolate, caramel, some dark fruits, light coffee, roasty bitter finish. Medium+ body, soft to average carbonation. Very nice and tasty imperial stout. Could be a bit fuller.

Bottle from Beaumont Market. 3/28/2014 A: Black upon black. Mocha head. Lacing. N: Anise, black cherry, earth, cocoa, molasses, ash, peat, biscuit, pine, rye, peppercorn, and a hint of oxidation. T: Sweet, spicy, bitter. M: Medium-heavy body, no alcohol, soft carbonation. O: Very good all around RIS as is de Molen’s wont.

Black and slightly foamy stout with lightly smoked aroma and massive scent of hardroasted malt. The taste is intense of both chocolate, coffee, slightly dried berries and a little crisp alcoholic flavor towards the end. The aftertaste is a little hoppy and lasts for a long time. A very tasty imperial stout.

Can. Pours very dark brown, nice creamy head, fast disappearing. Roasty, caramel, coffee, cocoa, dark fruits, some alcohol. In mouth slightly less intense, well balanced. Full body, fizzy, thick. Nice regular imp stout.

Aromat karmelowy, ciemne słody. Dość słodki. Słodko jest też w smaku. Oblepia usta. Finisz palony. Alkohol niemal nie wyczuwalny. Bardzo dobry ris.

jfb (6574) - GERMANY - MAY 11, 2017
UPDATED: MAY 22, 2017 (bottle) murky deepest brown colour with a quickly-diminishing beige head. aroma of barnyard, smoked pork belly and black pepper, with a touch of liquorice, ethanol and earth. flavour is mostly grainy müsli malts and caramel, rather ethanolic, with lots of bran flakes, some earth and vanilla icing. heavy-bodied with average carbonation. disappointing.
