UPDATED: JUL 22, 2010 Opaque dark amber/brown with thick tan head. Aroma of bitter chocolate. Flavor of burnt coffee, dry and full-mouthed. Bitter chocolate finish. Easily our best beer of the night, one of the best stouts I’ve ever had. Heaven.
Draft at Churchkey, under the name Disputin. Much more thin and watery than the Rasputin, much less chanracter and complexity than the bottled version. 3.4. madmitch76 (26850) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 4, 2012

Cloudy dark brown - red beer. Barleywine like nose. Soft palate with very moderate carbonation. Feels and looks more like a barleywine than an Impy. Rich soft malt, dark toffee and caramel. Light hops. A hint of bubblegum. A sumptuous beer but really not an Impy for me - a very good barleywine!

Bottled at Ølbaren, Copenhagen Transparently black, brief head. Unusual aroma of dusty strawberries and tobacco. There’s sweet malt and somelight coffee. Surprisningly slim with lots of ester. Gets more comlicated as it goes: salty chocolate with candied strawberry and bubblegum. Finishes with salty licorice. Interesting, but complicated.
