Bottle at home. Three years old. Pours a deep brown to black colour with a small, light brown head. Roasted aroma with coffee, chocolate truffles, charcoal, cocoa, rubber and dark wood. More roasted in the flavour with burned coffee beans, ash, leather, prunes and very dark chocolate. Has a soft and oily mouth feel. A round and well balanced winter warmer. Is really complex and a true dessert beer. witthatsbier (566) - glasgow, SCOTLAND - JAN 12, 2015

overall a nice beer adasko (2233) - Poznan, POLAND - JAN 11, 2015
Almost two years after bottling. Strong, awesome malty aroma. A lot of winey notes, a bit of coffee, dark bitter chocolate and fresh burned cake. Fantastic aroma. It’s pitch black color with tiny ruby reflection. No head unfortunately. In taste huge variety of flavors. In the beginning it’s a bit sweet and sour in the same time - from coffee. Winey notes in the taste as well, which fill the middle taste along with malty big flavours. It swells till the end. Aftertaste has a big bitterness, which finish the beer perfectly. Mouth feel is not so perfect though. I hoped it will be more thick and dense, but it’s a bit watery. It’s a little bit to much carbonated too. In overall it’s an awesome, great balanced beer. Not a perfect one though. BelgiskOlklub (1082) - Viby J, DENMARK - JAN 9, 2015
Thick black body and a small diminishing brown creamy head.. Thick sticky body, low carbonation. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and alcohol. The taste is heavy sweet and light bitter. Powerfull and nice! KW92 (1598) - Warszawa (Warsaw), POLAND - JAN 6, 2015
WYGLĄD: Barwa czarna z rubinowymi refleksami. Piana beżowa, drobnopęcherzykowa, krótka, szybko opada do niskiej warstewki.
AROMAT: Na pierwszym mocna kawa i gorzkie czekoladki z alkoholem, przypalony karmel, torf.
SMAK: Bardzo kawowo (espresso) i czekoladowo (gorzka) oraz wyraźny alkohol na koniec, przyjemnie rozgrzewa, oleiste i wytrawne.

Bottle at home. A perfect beer for the holiday season. Doesn’t really drink like other imperial stouts from De Molen... It more feels like you’re drinking red wine with strong bitter cacao and mocca notes. Texture much thinner than I’m used to for an IRS, little carbonation. Aroma is roasted malts, red grapes, coffee and dark pure chocolate. Taste is much the same, with the cacao bitterness and the red grapes dominating the palate. Finish is a bit abrupt. I like it, but not something I’m inclined to drink very often. sharkydodson (1620) - St. Petersburg, RUSSIA - JAN 1, 2015
the aroma of caramel, robust, toast and cocoa... the taste is rather sweet, with notes of caramel, coffee, chocolate, licorice and dark fruits... the aftertaste is bitter and sweet, and very spicy... MrOrla (3216) - Odense C, DENMARK - DEC 28, 2014
330 ml bottle at CK. Poured a pitch black colour with a small mocca head. roasted malts, dark coffee, dark chocolate, caramel. matbli (394) - Poznań, POLAND - DEC 23, 2014
UPDATED: APR 10, 2017 bottle 0,33l. Dark black and opaque with creamy beige head. Strong aromas of mocca and cocoa but also some hidden notes of red berries and balsamico. In taste sweet coffee notes that are followed by some fruity sourness and medium bitterness in the aftertaste. Full body with an oily texture and sof carbonation. Beer is warming and alcohol is slightly noticable but still quite good hidden. I would never say it has 11,6% alcohol. Very good drinkable and great for cold winter evenings.
