Aroma: very rich with lots of malt and coffee; Appearance: pitch black with tan head that dissipates slowly; some lacing; Taste: follows nose, plus lots of booziness; Palate: heavy body with very complex finish that includes sweetness and slightly bitter dryness; Overall: quite good; would definitely buy again.

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours dark brown with a few tan bubbles and a huge treacle and chocolate aroma. There is a full-bodied dark molasses flavor with a little smoke amd a dry slightly bitter finish. Plenty of coffee.

375 capped from Bine & Vine. Pours dark brown with a slight beige head. Coffee aroma. Med + body. Flavor has a lot of coffee and dark/burnt malt. Not dry, but certainly bitter. Its like espresso. Some chocolate after a bit. Really good stuff.

On draft at When Pigs Fly, Kittery, ME. Theres enough coffee aroma and flavor in this to make it taste like a boozy latte. Ive had more than my fair share of high ABV stouts with coffee, and this still stands out. Expertly made, really tasty, and will probably keep you awake an extra couple of hours.

33cl bottle at home from Biernavigatie.nl. Nose is coffee liqueur, light smoke. Body is pitch black, head is medium, beige, creamy, average lasting, good lacing. Aroma is coffee, milk chocolate, light smoke, toast, dusty coffee, raisin. Medium sweet, medium to heavy bitter, hint of fruity sour. Finish is long lasting roasty medium bitter-sweet. Full body, oily texture, nearly flat carbonation. Sweetish a bit heavy dessert beer, tasty, nice one.

A dark reddish brown imperial stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with loads of coffee grind, musty character, light mocha coffee, nutty oil, nice and complex. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with loads of coffee grind, light vanilla, dark fruits, molasses, alcohol warmth, very nice and complex. On tap at Eulogy.

Completely dark body, medium sized tan head drops to minimal. Great aroma. Extreme coffee, chili, spices, caramel. Lots of coffee in taste plus some alcohol. Flat carbonation. Medium to full body, creamy. Not perfectly balanced, coffee is jumping little bit off the rest, but still great. //thanks to veceo for sharing

2016 bottle. Dark brown with a tan head. You almost get something different with each taste and it definitely develops on your tongue. Dark fruits, molasses, some ash, little black pepper, bourbon, all on a little roasted malt. Slightly dirty taste with a hint of sourness, sorta herbal and dank. On the thin side but has a little creaminess and the taste is complex enough that it makes it seem fuller. Not your typical stout, very interesting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2017 butelka, warka z 13/01/16 (BB 13/01/21) - znow majaca wiecej, bo 11.4%. B ciemny braz piwa, rachityczna piana szybko pozostajaca obraczka. Aromat intensywny, glownie kawa i palonosc, zreszta sama kawa tez o takim palonym do prawie czerni ziaren charakterze. Do tego dochodzi alko - wcale nie takie sympatyczne, acz z nutka ciemnych owocow delikatna. Nieco wanilii. kapinka pralin. W ustach pierwszy lyk to reakcja "o dzizas, jakie alkoholowe" - no hej, ja to na sniadanie pije, sadysci holenderscy!.
