33 cl bottle, bottled in Nov. 2012. Hazy, burgundy colour with a golden tint. No head. Sour aroma with citrus fruits, red wine barrel, salty impressions, lactic notes and spices. Caramel malts. Taste is sour. Medium to full body with a creamy to oily texture and a flat carbonation. Finishes lasting sour with red wine barrel and salty notes. A really special experience. Bottle in Amsterdam, at Marko’s. Quite red, basically no head. Interesting red fruity, candy aroma. Tart juicy body, rich-intense gose mouthfeel. Tart and ‘salty’, drying mouthfeel. Tannic red wine, cranberry. Odd, but glad I got to try! Touch of calvados too.

Bottle 0.33l from De Bierkoning Amstedam Netherlands.Taste at home with luttonm bro.28.02.2016.Hah just strange to try something like this Imperial Gose.Pour it dark amber almost red color with no head.Aroma of stinky smoked cheese.Taste starts and continiues long of salt,some caramel on the back,tart,finish again with sweet note.Perfectly balanced really strange and interesting. 0.33 l bottle from ’De Bierkoning’, bottled in November 2012 (three years old). Clear, medium amber with almost no head, just a thin, frothy, quickly diminishing, tan layer. Sourish-sweet aroma of spruce honey, toffee, raisins, tea leaves, rhubarb and dubbin. Sourish-sweet taste of spruce honey, rhubarb, caramel, raisins, tea leaves and dubbin, followed by a short, slightly tart and minimally warming finish. Medium body, slightly oily and lightly astringent mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Really interesting, surely with indications of the typical Gose-ish taste and acidity, but also with a distinct malty sweetness comparable to a light barleywine. Nice to try this one! Bottle from De Bierkonig, Amsterdam. Pours completely flat (De Molen carbonation surprise!), but an inviting redish caramel orange clear colour. However, even with my broad definition, it’s a bit of a stretch to call this "beer". Mega salty warhead acidity, almost overbearing. Super flat (why can’t Molen beers ever have normal carbonation) yet thick, and syrupy. Cough medicine. Smooths and sweetens up SLIGHTLY in aftertaste, mango/prune flavor. WTF.
