Bottle, red wax. Pours a hazy orange beer with a big, creamy off white head on top. Aroma is very malty, kinda yeast, fruity Madeira notes. Flavor has a subtle boozy hint, very sweet and malty. Very fruity, even after all these years. Nice stuff.

Idiosynkrasie (7972) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - NOV 12, 2014
750ml bottle [#165 of 575]. Hazy amber colour with late awakening, average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Fruity hoppy and malty aroma, notes of red berries, gooseberry, a dry touch of fruit parings, a touch of concentrated grassy and herbal hop, chlorophyll. Taste is slightly sweet malty with a toffee note and a sugary touch, bitter hoppy overtones, notes of gooseberry and the like; soft palate, gentle but effectual carbonation combines with the bitter hoppy to build up a refreshing component. Survived almost five years (brewed 12/12/09) quite well, 88.2 IBUs still active, well hidden alcohol.

Bottle 495 of 575. Poured a vinous red with no head. Aroma of alcohol soaked dark fruit and soft caramel malt. Medium body, flavour as the aroma, smooth. Maybe starting to show it’s age.

kappldav123 (6133) - GERMANY - JUN 2, 2014
Bottle looks really good, almost 5 years old. Beer in the glass not very zippy, brownish, almost no head. Starts malty, modest alcoholic, thick, a bit oily. Light spicy notes. Not very hoppy. Warming-malty finish. Maybe already a bit over its top.

MarcoDL (5383) - NETHERLANDS - APR 6, 2014
Bottle of almost 5 years old, aged well. Malty and cloudy beer. Sweet herbal taste of dark fruits and vanilla. Nice developing taste.
