Bottle @ Fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are roast malt, hops, caramel and notes of chocolate. Kristall-König (2820) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - MAR 30, 2012
Tief dunkelmalziger Geruch, schokoladig, rauchig. Beginnt süßlich-schokoladig. Mitte sehr dicht dunkelmalzig. Abgang schoko-röstig, trockenbitter. Recht gut - leider etwas wenig Statur.

Odense spring time specialties night at Dolle. Dark brown with a small off-white head. Grainy malt aroma with some toffee notes and yeasty phenols. Dry malty flavour with some biscuit and a mild roasted note, and a good hoppy finish skortila (5894) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - MAR 24, 2012
The aroma has caramel, sweetness, hint of rye, hint of roast. Clear, brown coloured beer with an off-white head. The taste is sweetish, light bitter, has caramel, some chocolate, some spice. Nice. BeerViking (4907) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 23, 2012
33cl bottle, pours very dark brown with a thin lacy head, nice coffee, vanilla and tart red fruit nose, then a roast and dry coffee-malt body, with some plummy fruit, plus faint hints of dried hazelnuts and oak. It’s followed by a long dry vanilla and astringent bitter finish - the excessive and lasting sharpness of the latter is the beer’s only failing for me. dantheman278 (1361) - SCOTLAND - MAR 22, 2012
Bottle at home. Dark mahogany brown, thick airy beige head fades with some lacing. Nice soft salty smoked nose, some chocolate, some rye, some soft lager notes too. Palate is surprisingly sweet up-front, with notes of caramel, vanilla, rye, some liquorice, subtle smoke - nowhere near as smoky as I thought it would be! Soft roast malts on the finish with just a hint of peppery hops. This is nice!
