330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Valkendorf. Beige bubbly head. Clear, coal coloured body. Impact of dark malts to the nose with hints of dusty hops. Liquorice malts to the fore in the flavour profile supported by grassy hops and nuts. Bittersweet malty ending. Medium bodied. Ok (hotel room, Bergen 17.09.2012). visionthing (5363) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - SEP 30, 2012
33cl bottle from Vinmonopolet, Vika. Pours very dark brown with a small tanned head. Aroma of roasted malt with chocolate and caramel and hints of hops, coffee and smoke. Quite sweet and malty with caramel and roasty notes. Finishes slighty dry with some bitterness. A tad to sweet for my taste, but still pleasant. esp0r (2921) - NORWAY - SEP 22, 2012

Pours dark, black in glass, tanned head. (Small head for a de Molen) Smells of hops, roasted malts, hints of coffee and grass. Light to moderate sweet, quite dry, roasty with some coffee. Moderate bitter, some earth and coffee. A quite nice schwarz wit a cool back story. Not the most innovative or challenging schwar, but highly drinkable, it’s good beer material
On tap, pours a dark black with off white, thick, soapy head, full sheets of lacing. Aromas of roast, bread, coffee, and some licorice. Taste is bread, caramel, chocolate, spice, sticky sweet malts, mollases. Palate is a little sticky at first but finishes with a refreshing lager flavor. Aftertaste is nuts, and roasted malts. Pretty solid. dutchtuga (146) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - SEP 9, 2012
Again a fantastic De Molen beer! It has all the rich flavours from a good stout, but still manages to be a very friendly and refreshing beer to drink. Nice soft touches of chocolate, caramel and coffee.

(Draught at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark bread, roasted grain and ashes. Malty, roasted taste with dark bread, coffee, ashes, hints of chocolate and a dry finish with a generous roasty bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Nice one. Bottle. Dark brown colour with a small, slightly tanned head. Aroma of dark malts and molasses. Flavour is medium bitter, mostly because of some roastiness in there. Nice, medium bodied beer and quite enjoyable. daje (4436) - NORWAY - AUG 31, 2012

Apariencia: color negro oscuro pero no completamente opaco, ligeros reflejos rojizos, mucho poso. Corona escasa, color beige claro.
