Again a fantastic De Molen beer! It has all the rich flavours from a good stout, but still manages to be a very friendly and refreshing beer to drink. Nice soft touches of chocolate, caramel and coffee. GBZ59 (1217) - BARCELONA (Catalonia), SPAIN - JAN 26, 2014
Botella de 330ml (Embotellada en Nov´11, Saboreada en Ene´14). Color negro intenso y tintes rubí oscuro a contraluz.
330ml bottle (Bottled on Nov/11, Enjoyed on Jan´14). Pure black color, dark ruby tints to the light. Tan, creamy, close & lasting crown leaves wide lacing & rings on sides. Roasted & caramel malt, black bitter cocoa aromas. Creamy, roasted & malty upfront. Medium to full body. Soft carbonation. Oily palate. Hints of herbal bitterness, subtle spicy touch & licorice notes. Sweet malty finish touched by dried sensation, roasted coffee & bitter notes. Herbal aftertaste. Best Schwarzbier I´ve ever had, delicious & flavorful !! sarauckelman (540) - Durham, Durham, ENGLAND - JUN 2, 2012
Beautiful dark beer smelling deliciously of coffee, and having all of the good taste of coffee with none of the bad. Not too bitter, not to sweet, a very enjoyable surprise. Countbeer (6592) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - DEC 21, 2011
Medium vast light tan/creamy head on top of a black colored beer.
Smell coffee, roasted malts, chewing gum, herbs and other darker ingredients.
Taste is nice bitter with hints of roasted malts, light coffee, toasted barleys, roasted herbs. Tasty but not to complex.
Medium bitter light toasted/roasted malty/herby aftertaste.
Low carbo, tingly mouthfeel, medium to full body and a light creamy texture.
Very nice beer, tasty. More like some kind of stout than a schwarzbier.

33cl bottle. Pours chestnut brown with a red hue and a nice creamy fawn coloured head. The nose has creamy chocolate. The taste has chocolate and nuts. The palate has a medium body and a nice creamy texture with quite a dry and elegant finish. Overall, a very creamy schwarzbier, it’s good. Draft. Dark brown pour with a thin frothy tan head. Full dark blended flavors. Bit of malty sweetness but finishes dry. Tobacco. Coffee grounds. Charcoal. Dark juicy red fruit. Delightful. mike_77 (6673) - Breda, NETHERLANDS - JUL 23, 2012
Very dark brown colour. Light roast malt aroma and hint of liquorice. Creamy, malty taste. Hints of treacle, cocoa, coffee and smoke. Overall balance is quite light and drinkable. erickok (6037) - Leuven, BELGIUM - DEC 13, 2011
Black bodied with creamy tan head. Roasted malts, little smoke and spices. Bitter aroma, fairly full flavoured and a long dry aftertaste from the hops that, well, weren’t meant to be there. Nice mistake. Bov (12636) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - APR 30, 2012
from Erzbierschof - hazy dark brown beer under a persistent beige foam; toasted aroma of ashes and chocolate, the whole thing being a bit restrained; medium-bodied, moderate carbonation and rounded palate; quite dry and bitter; long toasted aftertaste of licorice and ashes
