3.8.2014. Simcoe, cascade, citra. Dark amber colour with brownish head. Caramel, malted barley, raisin and piny hops on the nose. Taste is pretty caramel, sweetish, wood, zest. Full bodied, massive IPA with some barley wine elements. wyzzywyz22 (2108) - Wirral, Merseyside, ENGLAND - MAR 18, 2015
Bottle, Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Hazy dark orange pour with a small off white head. Sweet, fruity beak with some caramel malt and piney hop present. Quite thick mouthfeel, gentle carbonation. Similarly sweet flavour with notes of peach, orange, booze, malts. Dry, fruity finish. Hops not really shining enough for me here, but not without its charm. Bottle from Taniguchi. Big, fruity, floral nose, oranges, peaches and cream, a touch of strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, caramel. Complex nose indeed. Deep orange-brown with a low, fine, thick head. Sweet and fruity, citrus and stone. Very sweet, actually, too much, with a bitter finish. Somewhat soda-like. Interesting flavors but the syrupy sweetness puts me off.
