4.8% ABV. American pale ale. Poured out of the bottle with aggressive carbonation and a very full head. 14SRM and a deep golden cloudy amber. Nice! The nose had a fresh bouquet with citrus aromas suggesting tangerines Mandarin oranges and fresh pine. The mouthfeel is dominated by aggressive carbonation. The palate is charaterised by light pale malt flavors. There are water crackers, and pale biscuits. Clean bitter hops. Not too prolonged, any longer and itd be an IPA.

It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, moderate carbonation. Taste of citrus and floral hops. Touch of grapefruit. Nicely balanced. Juicy though a bit thin in the flavor department.

Hazy orange beer with dense white head. Aroma and flavor have pineapple, pear, passionfruit, lemongrass, malts and grass. Palate is quite thin with quite strong carbonation and quite strong bitterness. Finish has medium bitterness. Aftertaste has lemongrass, malts, peach and grass. OK stuff. Both Citra and Saaz are perceivable and work well together.

330cc bottle. Pours hazy orange with slightly white off head. Intense citrus fruits: grapefruit, sweet orange, zest and caramel. Also hints of pine and tropical fruits. Nice body and texture for such a low abv. Really refreshing, quenching and seasonable. Everything nicely put together. Very good

Espuma no demasiado abundante. En aroma es muy intenso, se nota perfectamente todas las notas del citra. En boca es cremosa, aromtica y bien balanceada con en amargor. Una gran cerveza

Cloudy golden, The head as usual by De Molen not that intensive but well lacing. Nose of tropical fruit, citrus fruit, blossom, resin. Medium body. Oily. The flavour is extremely dry with citric fruitiness & resiny hoppiness. Herbal hoppy finish.

The follow-up to De Molen Citra, bottle from Albert Heijn, filled to the brim. Medium thick, stable, pale egg-white, dense head over a warm orange blonde, lightly hazy beer, cloudy and peachy with deposit. Lively and delicate American hops aroma, very Citra indeed, hints of lemon blossom, lime zest, limoncello, lemonbalm, pink grapefruit flesh, spruce tips, fragrant acacia flowers, candied orange, gari, biscuit, lychee; a stronger presence of thick, dried citrus peel crispness comes in with deposit. Crisp, vivid onset, exotic fruitiness, papaja, lychee, kumquat, lots of citrus freshness, delicate and refined, light but mouth-filling biscuity and lightly toasted maltiness, all very elegant and feminin, with medium carbo, bit minerally; finish reprises the aromatic, ethereal hop fragrance of lemon blossom and lime peel, nicely bittering but not too harsh and therefore in perfect balance with the light and elegant malt body, some juiciness of which pierces through the hop bitterness, fruity and extremely quenching. A delicate, surprisingly elegant example of an APA, De Molen never disappoints.
