Dedollewaitor (16158) - Odense, DENMARK - MAY 21, 2008
Bottle at Aarhus beerfestival. Pours dark brown with a small white head. Aroma is of roast - caramel & smokey notes, quite mild though. Some grain & coffee. Not the worst smoked I’ve had!

HenrikSoegaard (14166) - Randers, DENMARK - MAY 20, 2008
Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Brown colour. Heavy malty moderate hoppy and only slight smoked aroma. Moderate bitter light smoked flavor. Long nice finish. Creamy palate. Well-balanced beer.

JoeinDahlem (1521) - Berlin, GERMANY - MAY 19, 2008
Considering this is a smoked stout of 8% strength, it lacks the flavor to back it up. Surprisingly light and bland for what it is. Drunk on draft at the Arendsnest. Pours black with brown highlights, beige and sticky think head. Roasted malt nose is relatively faint, hard to detect any smoke. Tastes lightly sweet and lightly bitter with a roasty backdrop and just a faint touch of smoke. Quaffable but lacks gumption.

MIBRomeo (2570) - Wisconsin, USA - MAY 18, 2008
Jet black pour thick tan head, thick lacing. Hints of roast grains touches of coccoa powder along w/ some light alcohols. Palate is avg although well coated. Flavor is roasty grains, touches of chocolate an a subtle burnt or charred coffee finish. A decent smoke.

Bullit (4637) - Burgos, SPAIN - APR 16, 2008
Dark brown colour, almost no head. Aroma has roasted malts and chocolate. Flavour has malts, raisins, hops and some roastiness. Very subtle and balanced.

SilkTork (5737) - Southampton, United Kingdom, Hampshire, ENGLAND - APR 16, 2008
Thanet Easter Beer Fest. The Winter Gardens, Margate. Roasty chocolate. Wild taste - wild and funky with some good smooth chocolate sweetness, but the fruity rancid flavour is too off-putting and unpleasant.

3.6
altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - APR 9, 2008
Bottle from Bier Koning. Black body with thin tan head. Nose of chocolate and plums. Prickly mouthfeel. Strong taste of smoke. Sweet taste. Subtle notes of chocolate, raisins, coffee. Malty. Some bitterness. Well done.
