Bottle from De Molen webshop. Dark orange golden color with medium persistent white head. Malty aroma with citrus notes. Malty taste with lemon and nice portion of hops. Long hoppy bitter finish. Good.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines. Hmm, rather good for a Pils I thought. Dry, fulsome, assertive errrr Pils type hops. Clean, quite rich (the opposite of me). I’m filthy I am. Liked this. I like Pils anyway, and this is a good one.

Bottle from De Molen Beershop. Poured a slightly hazy straw colour with a bubbly white head. The aroma is yeasty with a few wheaty notes. The flavour is medium bitter, with some malt, zesty lemon and a hint of liqourice on the palate. Very low carbonation indeed. Rather tasty though and one of the best Pilsener’s i’ve had. It’s almost up there with the unfiltered Pilsener Urquell from the brewery in Plzen.

Borresteijn (7172) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - MAR 28, 2013
33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Hazy golden yellow colour, dense white head. Aroma of sulphur, straw and lemon, later on more bready malts. Flavour is light, light sweet, bread, light crisp malts, lemon, light floral and light grassy bitter finish. Light-bodied. Decent and refreshing Bohemian Pils-style beer.

Draft @ De Molen. Aroma has a nice caramel backbone with a touch of herbal hops. Flavour is about the same, mostly malty goodness with a tad of saaz bitterness. Nice one.

Hazy gold beer, little white head. Sharp minerally crisp palate. Decent, but thin, pale malt with mild malt cream. Touch of bubblegum ester. Mild citric hop provides some balance. Finishes crisp and dry with a mild grapefruit linger. Refreshing but the bubblegum seems a little out of place.

It’s a pilsner, so it will never be stunning, but it’s still quite good for its style.
