Had this on tap at borefts 2017, now bottle at home bought at the de molen shop in bodegraven. Pours completely black with hardly any head. Aroma is incredibly, the intensity of amaretto! Apart from this almond/amaretto aroma there is a lot of sweetness, some dark roasted malts, maybe some plums. Definitely an amaretto bomb. Thickish mouthfeel, no carbonation. Flavour is more restrained in the amaretto front and shows more complexity. Still malty sweet and loads of almond flavour, but also dark and roasted malt flavours abound. Nutty and caramelly with not too much roastiness. Plums but also lot of vanilla. Bourbon barrel is very noticeable, distinct wood note as well as the intense vanilla flavour and a warming finish. Finish is mostly oak, whisky, caramel; sweet and warming, not too long. Wow, this is basically a barrel aged liquid tiramisù. Amazing but definitely one for sharing, since it is very peculiar and intense.

330 ml bottle ( (7:4:7:4:13=3.5) Crazy marzipan aroma. Pleasant rich roasty taste. Soft buttery bourbon barrel too. Finish has some chocolate. Kinda messed up stout, but still decently drinkable. Alcohol is stealthy, but not completely absent. Finish goes back to marzipan. Rather silly, but actually quite a decent brew behind it.

Marduk (8206) - Reval, ESTONIA - OCT 7, 2017
330ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Pitch black color. Tiny to almost no head. Booze, rum, nutty, woody, sweet and roast in aroma. Roast, rum, raisins, creamy, buttery, cake in taste. Rum, creamy and booze in aftertaste. Fatty brew.

Bottle (thanks fatphil). Pours black with beige head. Aroma is sweet, marzipan, malt, almonds, bourbon, vanilla. Flavor is sweet and bitter, roast, marzipan, oak, almonds. Finish is oaky. Overall: very good, but bit too much of barrel.

Fin (10820) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 6, 2017
Bottle picked up at De Molen Brewery, Bodegraven, Netherlands, consumed at Somers Wood Caravan Park, with Dad and Pauline. Friday 6th October 2017 Wow this really is a dessert in a glass, lots and lots of of chocolate, cherry, almonds. Soft in the mouth but there is a lovely little tart edge. It's as black as yer would expect, wonderful is an overused word tonight but this is wonderful. A8 A4 T8 P5 Ov16 4.1
