RBESG 2013. Draught at De Molen brewpub, Bodegraven. Somewhat hazy copper beer with a small white head. Sourish vinous aroma, caramel, hay, woody, toffee, raisins, dades. Solvent flavor, vinegar, aceton, hugely sour, paint. Almost undrinkable.

WVHouseofBeer (1106) - West Virginia, USA - NOV 8, 2014
Wow this beer is way too sour. Feels like I’m drinking pure vinegar. Extremely acidic, acetone, terrible. I don’t know how anybody could enjoy this. De Molen really messed up on this one.

JulienHuxley (5949) - Sherbrooke, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 18, 2014
On tap at the brewpub. Going against the grain on this one. Gold pour with very light haze, white head. Aroma is acetic, woody, light buttery and cheesy notes. Taste is quite sour, acetic but at a tolerable level, tannic. Palate is bone dry, light carbonation. Tasty sour, people who find it too sour should steer clear of bruery sours.

Pyrmir (6210) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - JAN 10, 2014
On tap. Copper color with no head. Aroma very sour, rank, acidic, vinegar, acetic notes, manure and mild ammonia. Taste is extremely sour, prolly the most acidic I’ve ever had. The barnyard notes is in the flavor aswell as vinegar, acetic and acetone notes. Way, way too sour to be pleasant. I managed 1/4 of a pint in 1,5 hours

Draught at Eet & Bierlokaal De Molen
Hazy to cloudy dull golden color with small compact head. The aroma is acidic, with vinegar (too evident), fruits, but also a fresh note. Smooth mouthfeel, extremely acidic, probably one of the two or three most sourest I had to date, with some body, but for the rest pure vinegar; at least it avoids the feety character found in other similar extreme beers.
Not fit to drink.

Draught, Euston Tap, London. Hazy amber, with minimal head. Smelt and tasted like vinegar. Rank. Expect better from De Molen.

Martinus (4701) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - JUL 25, 2013
Clear amber colour, no head. Aroma of vinegar, ethylacetate, glue. Sour flavour, feels like the enamel is coming off my teeth. Sour finish. Didn’t like this as a beer. It is one of the better salad dressings I’ve had recently though.
(Draught @ De Molen, during RBESG 2013 visit)

Bullit (4686) - Buffalo, New York, USA - JUL 22, 2013
Tap @ De Molen. Clear amber colour, thin head. Nose is vinegar, vanilla, wood. Flavour is very sour, almost to a burning feeling, vanilla, wood. Not drinkable at all.

Vaiz (4460) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - JUL 20, 2013
Tap @ de molen. Murky brown pour. Aroma is full of strong balsamic vinegar. Flavor is pure balsamic vinegar, heavy and extremely sour. Almost undrinkable. Would be great to have a few drops in the salad, but that’s about it. Undrinkable.

Scopey (15687) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 18, 2013
Keg at Euston Tap. It pours hazy amber with a minimal white head. The nose is big on the vinegar, rotten apples, acetone, cider, mustiness and battery acid. The taste is very acidic, excessive amounts of vinegar, light stone fruit, damp wood, sour lemon, mouth-puckering, paint thinner, mouldy and faint medinal notes with a hot, acidic finish. Medium body and low carbonation. Like drinking a bottle of vinegar! The smell makes my eyes water. Really pretty terrible. One of the worst sours I’ve had.

Tap at the Euston Tap - last beer of an epic day, the day that was the Rate Beer Black Country Bus Bash 2013 and this little fella woke me up something !!! Clear pale golden with no head. Nose is sour as fuck, vinegar, Sarsons overalls - the guy who cleans the inside of the vats! Tarte’o’clock - wake up ya bastard - wake up ! Taste comprises bitter vinegar, soured fruit stew, citrus, burnt fruit, light smoke, acid, acetic vinegar. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, tarte balsamic coating in the finale. A prety intense sour - pitched a little OTT, but it does what it says on the tin - sour sour sour! Thankyou for waking me up and puckering my face at 22.45! 2 more pints of the Raad & Daad stout yeoman of the bar ! C’mon - man the fuck up raters !
