Bottle… Cloudy brown ale with a small, swirling, white head. The nose imparts fudge, toasted nuts and vanilla with none of the Bruichladdich peaty-smokiness I was expecting. Full-bodied with a buttery/velvety mouthfeel and feather-soft carbonation. Sweet, chocolaty, nutty flavor with mild notes of toasted oak and vanilla. Finishes much the same with mild alcohol warmth. Bottle courtesy of Plovmand!
Black beer practically without foam. Brilliant aromas of roasted, Whisky, molasses-licorice, coffee-chocolate, red berries and vanilla. The taste is quite perfumed by the same smells with prune, dry fruits, wood and Whisky. Oily beer so easy to drink in spite alcohol. A great beer. Christos (5741) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - JAN 17, 2016
(De Molen Rasputin Bruichladdich B.A.) Bottle 330 ml at home, bottled on 2011 and sealed with red wax. Served into a snifter, ABV 11.4%
Dark brown colour on the body, kind of murky, with the head on top mostly consisting of small brown bubbles, popping up fast.
Aroma of whiskey, dark fruits, plums, fudge, alcohol, light vanilla.
Taste also of whiskey, dark fruits, dates, figs, plums, alcohol, more vanilla on the finish.
Medium thin body, low carbonation, sticky on the palate.
Very good, wondering if it has improved at all throughout the years though.

Bij Maakun. Nog een mooie fles van Maakun. Vijgen rozijnen vanille marsepein erg zoet en zacht. Haagse hopjes en ook algemene hopjes. Backlog from 2015/11/19. Maakun (5548) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - NOV 19, 2015
Bottle 2011 vintage shared at home. Black with short lasting small light brown head that leaves a ring of small bubbles. Figs, raisins, dried dates, light chocolate, spices, light green leaves, vanilla, marzipan, sweet coffee, bitter herbs. Quite sweet with long lasting light bitter vegetal finish. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Seems more like a quad, but really nice mellow and soft beer, not boozy at all. Great stuff, though the finish is a slight let down. From bottle it is black with a thick tan head. The aroma is licorice and the taste is of whiskey and oak and finishes with a black licorice

From a 33 cl bottle purchased at Borefts 2012. Pours black with a thick tan head. Peaty caramel nose. Flavors of plums, toffee and oak. Bitter roast finish with a slight tartness. caesar (7133) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - JUN 15, 2015
Bottle (long time ago from de Molen beershop), bottled on Sep 15th 2011, medium sample. Dark color, some brown lacing. Aroma of huge raisin, like it’s an aged belgian dark ale (although it was covered with red wax, but it didn’t give a ’tssssh’ upon opening), slight roast, bit spicy yeast, slight fruity even. Sirupy raisin again, slight wood perhaps. Not much left of the peat barrel strangely enough, but like an aged belgian quad. Totally unexpected actually, but not bad at all. OK, first of all, this looks nothing like a stout. It pours a murky dark reddish brown with little or no carbonation. However, it smells delicious, there´s waves of sticky chocolate and hints of spice and vanilla.
It tastes quite different to regular Rasputin, in my opinion, but still not quite a stouty taste, it´s more like a really good barleywine. The alcohol is well hidden as is the whisky taste. I actually would have preferred a little more peat and smoke.
It´s very easy to drink and it should leave you looking for more. On the bottle it states you can store for 25 years, good luck with that, mine lasted a few days. weark (795) - Morges, SWITZERLAND - AUG 21, 2014
