[10/4/13] Bottle shared at a tasting at chrisos place. Thanks harrisoni for this bottle! Dark brown with a bit of beige foam. Boozy aroma of whiskey, some smokiness, some iodine and some dark fruits. Sourish oaky flavor with malt, dark fruits, whiskey, smoke and iodine. Medium to full-bodied. Weird and interesting.

33cl bottle thanks to Menno at Kent BF 2013, drunk at home. Dark brown beer, thin beige head. Malty peaty smoky aroma. The caol ila is a little stronger than the pure tcp of the laphroaig. Some chocolate as well. Its interesting. I mean I love the straight Rasputin and there is still some of the base beer here. The peatiness is interesting. I mean its got a lot of islay whisky character. Not my favourite, but hey its drinkable enough and for such strong flavours, it kinda works. Kinda wild but kinda constrained as well given the strong flavours on display.

33cl bottle, DSG and jsquire tasting at Chris. It pours a deep dark brown body with a medium beige foam. Aroma is straight whisky with salty notes, charred oak and some leather. Taste is full on the smokey whisky notes with more saltiness. A tad watered down body and good carbonation. Overall, this is interesting but the barrel did no good to it.

330 ml bottle.
Pours a dark brown, almost black colour with a minimal white head. Aroma is really intense at first with smoked wood, peat, birch leaves, tar and espresso. Then the vanilla kicks in and it smoothens the aroma quite nicely. Flavour is a bit messy; roasted malts, strong vinegar notes, tar, vanilla and green apples. Medium bodied, thin mouthfeel and no carbonation. Alcohol comes through a lot. Aroma was near perfection, but everything else was way off.

Dark brown with an off white head - Wood and vanilla aroma along with some peat - Strong peated malt body with wood vanilla and a lot of alcohol heat - Lingering wood and peat with alcohol heat - This was a litlle bit over the top for me and not that good either

smaken: medium zoet, licht bitter, matig zuur, kolen, zacht, teer, balsamico, rook.
