Sample at Haand 2013. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is whiskey, roasted malt, coffee. Flavour is whiskey, malt, hop, coffee, fruit, alcohol, oak. Full body. Nice beer. SirLimpsalot (4162) - SWEDEN - JUL 31, 2013
@basunen: ganska fatpreglat doft. Smaken är inte alls vad jag väntade mig. Istället för en tung imperial stout får jag stora vibbar av brett och syrliga körsbär. Frågan än om den är off, men den smakar dog mycket bra.

Bottle - thanks Mr. Hangover! This one pours dark clear reddish black with a small tan head that dissapears quickly with some lacing. Aroma is very peaty, scotch, roasted malts. Flavor is peaty, smoky, meaty, medium sweet, almost like smoked teriaki beef jerky. Light bitterness on the finish. Medium to light body, surprisingly low viscosity for a beer of this magnitude. Can’t really get into it.

Pours deep dark red, almost black color with a small rapidly dissipating head. Aroma is quite aggressive and a bit stingy with Caol Ila, but only at first, some tar and wooden notes follow and soften the aroma nicely, hints of vanilla and peat linger on the background as well.
Flavor isn’t quite as nice, tar and bourbon notes feel a bit rough, very little vanilla present. Laphroaig can be found on the taste but didn’t notice it on the nose. Dark malts and dark fruit notes are accompanied by distant dark berries, faint salty salmiac on the lingering finish. Low carbonation, a bit thin, slick and malty palate. Expected a bit more from this, nice aroma though.
courtesy of fiulijn - black beer with a chaotic foam left; peated whisky aroma with notes of vinegar and some chocolate in the background; full-bodied, low carbonation, sweet, gently sticky, assertive with notes of cacao, whisky with lingering smokey notes fiulijn (20411) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 10, 2013

Dark brown color, not yet black, with small frothy head. The aroma is dubious, there is some peat, but also some vinegar, fruits, dust, light chocolate. Good body structure; nice flavor of caramel and some chocolate, with light sourness that adds dynamics; correct bitterness, with a lightly dusty final.
Good but dirty.
Bottle at home. Dark brown beer with a minimal offwhite head. Tar, dried dark fruits and Laphroaig whiskey aroma. Ashy, smokey, tar flavour with much alcohol taste. Laphroaigwhiskey is not my favourite and this beer feels like a thin version of that whiskey. I wished for more beer-feeling in this beer.... rlgk (18847) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUL 4, 2013
Bottle from De Molen Beershop. Pitch black beer with a small offwhite head. Malty fruity aroma, roasted, peat, whiskey, dades, raisins, vanilla notes, oak, some tar and dark chocolate. Smoked flavor, peat, whiskey, hay, raisins, oak, caramel notes. Lots of alcohol. Surprisingly thin body. Peat finish with grapes, raisins, oak and some chocolate,
