From the moment I poured this into the snifter, I knew this was going to be a different experience then the heavily roasted stouts stateside. Pours similar to cola with a bit more transparency. Focused aromas and flavors of sweet dark fruit, rum raisin, dried figs, mildly roasted coffee and layers of bruleed sugar. Full bodied, sweet and viscous, with very, very, very little carbonation. While its packaging is small, I found myself slowly sipping on this with leisure, as it's deceptively heavy and the flavors lingered elegantly for minutes. The 10.4% alc is very well integrated. Oddly reminiscent of some barley wines... And I can totally see the potential for this to develop and age nicely for a serious number of years. I recommend this for those that like Barley wines or prefer a less heavily roasted stout profile... This has a sweet, dark, dried fruit dominated profile. I don't have enough experience with this style to accurately define what I'm experiencing.. The alcohol definitely creeps up on you.. Beware. --- tasted while on a long journey to understand the world around me...

Postgusto chocolatoso.

Bought in a can with the name Rasputin. Toffee, dark fruit, almost whisky notes, very nice.

Rasputin - butelka. W aromacie praliny, czekolada mleczna, delikatny karmel.

Can. Dark brown, almost jet black with small but solid beige head and good lacing. Light but sweet malty aromas with dark chocolate and red, dried fruits notes. Almost full body with smooth, oily mouthfeel. Sweet start with some bit sour, roasted flavors. Very calm, perfectly balanced, nothing extraordinary but just ideal imperial stout! Very good job!
