Bottle 33cl - date 2013. I drank version 2010 some years ago. Well, this is not the same beer! For me is not imperial stout style. Strong dark ale? Stout?sure not imperial! Black with small head cappuccino. Dark fruits a little bit sour. Not good, if compare the different version.

Not much going for it. Overly sweet, it gets undrinkable quick as it warms up. Not much depth, quite short. Almost no carbonation. Seems much lighter than stated alcohol level. Imperial stouts may be my favorite style, but I'll never have this one again.

Aroma: sweet aromas of caramel and hints of chocolate Appearance: dark brown in colour, with a brownish head that lingers Taste: very sweet, sweetness overpowers the rest of flavours Palate: full body, oily feel, with not very much carbonation and an abrupt sweet finish As a personal note, I find it too sweet for my palate, however other people that tasted it with me agreed that it was a wonderful stout.

Pours pitch black with a tiny head - minimal carbonation evident. Aroma is rich and sweet, roasty, a lot of coffee, caramel, figs, plums, molasses, cola. Beautiful and rather complex. Oily thick mouthfeel. Flavour is complex and rich, coffee and other roast aroma with moderate malt sweetness. Rather spicy, some herbal notes, plums, caramel, some nuttiness. Exemplary for the style.

Dark brown pour, not very foamy. Aroma is toasty, chocolate malts, no gimmicks just pure RIS. Roasty spices and nice toasty chocolate, cocoa dust. Nice creamy chocolate that is not so sweet, more like dry, herbal and a bit hoppy even. Feels light and definitely less than 10%. Decent and classic example of the style.

Medium brown color. Tons of dog food, tobacco and roasted malts. Very smooth. Not like a traditional imp stout but low carbonation. A bit of soy. Really nice.

Fairly sweet, lacking a bit of RIS counterpoint (presuming that's what it's sposed to be), chocolate, milky, vanilla, cream, really nice, foamy head, and some hint of something like apple but I may be tripping. Not the best DM stout but really good regardless

vinivini (2854) - Gomel, BELARUS - SEP 7, 2017
Bottled. Muddy deep brown. Small head. Aroma: powerful malts, toast, toffee, caramel, chocolate, minor roast, nuts, prunes, dates. Complex. Full body. Classic impy on taste. Bombastic malts, dried fruit, nuts, balancing bitterness. Great classic impy

(I think this is what I was drinking - on the menu as De Molen Russiona Imperial Stout) On draft at The Grey Sail Tap House. Pours black. Slight boozy aroma. Very tasty with all kinds of flavors - licorice, coffee, bourbon. Very complex.

Lonick (2537) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 31, 2017
Bottle (rating backlog). Pours black, tan head. Nose is coffee, massive coffee, slight chocolate, slight fruits, cherry. Taste is more of the same and then a big dollop of whisky that i did not pick up on the nose.
