Bottle, BB 21.01.2020. Pours dark ruby-black with light brownish beige head. Aroma is intense smoke, bacon, malt. Flavor is sweet and bitter, smoke, malt, bacon, coals. Finish is smokey. UPDATED: OCT 20, 2016 Poors very dark brown, small head that dissipates quickly. Strong smokey aroma, ashtray-like with chili hints beneath the blanket of smoke. Taste: smoke, smoke, smoke. A little maltiness. Chocolate. The chili is far in the background, barely noticeable. Was more pronounced on the nose. OK beer.

Thanks to the Pulfer guys I guess in Čakovec! Misty brown body. Smoked malts completely dominate this, giving notes of pancetta. Malty taste, again pancetta. Soft and slightly sweetish. No trace of chili peppers both in the taste and on the ingredients list, even though it does says Spiced somewhere, which was perplexing. Total black body with a off white head.Aromas of smoke,bacon,liquorice,maybe some chocolate. I tastes almost as it smells. Monks, pours a deep black with medium to larger sized beige head. Smell and flavor of peat, barrel roast, chocolate, meat, and chili pepper especially in the flavor. Medium to fuller mouthfeel. Yet another fantastic beer from the masters at De Molen! Great aroma, and first taste tells you this is definitely NOT something to be gulped down... initial sweet and smokey taste, trails off to reveal the almost unnoticeable background of chillies. A great beer from one of, if not the best brewers of dark beers in the World!

Noir sombre avec un petit col marron. L’arôme à plein de fumée et un peu de piment. Très bizarre!... En bouche il y a plein de fumée, qui est intensifié avec du piment. Il y a du malt torréfié, et un peu d’houblon, mais c’est surtout une bière chaude! Plein du corps, avec un chaleur du piment qui viens fort dans l’après goût.
