Huge orangey-coloured head, quite stable & lacey over copper-amber beer; Mandarines, overripe oranges, Mandarine Napoléon, chocolate with orange stuffing, but also a tad dusty smelling. Quite bitter, bit woody, kumquats. Hint at chocolate, just enough malt for basis; other grains just showing glimpses of themselves. Excellent balance. Spritzy, quite slick, medium bodied; smooth feel. Good IPA, could vie with the better WestCoast samples. tderoeck (10001) - Gent, BELGIUM - DEC 31, 2012

Clear dark orange beer, nice irregular creamy head, pretty stable, adhesive, nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very fruity, somewhat syrupy, sugary, couch syrup, ripe mango, citrus, honey, sweet berries, bit herbal. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sugary, sweet start, fruity, some chocolate, caramel, syrupy. Aftertaste: nice bitter hops, bit sugary, fruity notes, grassy.

Aroma is malty with caramel, some resin and rye. Flavour is sweetish with rye, resin and caramel. Rye rules the game here.
Bottle back at base camp, Utrecht. The pour’s deep orange amber with a small head. The nose is dank weed, orange peel, some wood and toasted grain. The taste is marmalade orange sweetness, orchard fruit, grassy bitter hop finish. Medium body, active carbonation. Overall, decent stuff.

330ml bottle. Cloudy dark amber colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, diminishing, moderately lacing, off-white head. Citrusy, slightly herbal hop aroma, slightly earthy undertones with a touch of almond and pine. Taste is minimally sweet caramel malty with herbal overtones, a dry and soapy touch fades out in the finish to a rye malt note. A slightly earthy, clumsy IPA. lusikka (7817) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 27, 2012

Pours a dark copper colour with a white head. Aroma of rye bread, floral hops and overly ripe mango. Flavour of overly ripe mango, caramel malts, grassy hops and strong rye bread. Medium bodied, high carbonation and a dry, malty finish. Quite unbalanced.
Bottle from the Beer King split with Booze. Medium head that did not last, and not much lacing. Aromas and taste of heavy caramel, bready malts, lemon hops. Taste was very malty mostly with aomd bitter and strong oily hops coming through as well. Pretty good but too malty for me. The citra was my favorite of the single hops from De Molen. tiong (7517) - Espoo, FINLAND - OCT 27, 2012
