Okay...yet another good IRS from the Molen but this one is too much whiskey for me...brutal and rough

Bottle split at my 20 KAY tastin, thanks to the Danny, 13/09/17. Rich black with a decent tan cap. Nose is chocolate, spice, smoke malts, charr. Taste comprises smoked malts, spice, charr, light chocolate, fruit cake, light xoy xauce. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a warming boost. Doing ok for the age.

skortila (5950) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - MAR 10, 2017
Bottled. 15cl sample. The aroma has red wine tones, coffee, some boze, bit roast. Black coloured beer with a thin, beige lace. The taste is light-medium sweet, has some booze, chocolate, coffee, vanilla and red wine. Very nice beer.

330ml bottle (Bacchanalia, Camridge) at 11.9%
Pleasantish deep roast aroma. Blackish, brief loose head. Mellowish deep roast, some woody dryness, but a bit of sugary sweetness too. Covers the alcohol reasonably, but most of that is just sugar. Finish roasty, woody, and some alcoholic vapours. Underwhelmed.

martjoobolut (4818) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - NOV 25, 2016
Bottle, 11.9℅, bottled 2012 (shared by fatphil, thanks). Pours dark brown-black. Aroma is booze, smoke, malt, chocolate. Flavor is sweet and bitter, chocolate, malt, booze, roast, acidic notes, some oak. Finish is sweet and bitter. Overall: very good, bit too boozy.

330ml bottle (thanks FatPhil) as 11.9% abv. Almost pitch black color. Small size, bubbly brown head, stays. Woody, sourish, whiskey and some caramel in aroma. Roast, sweet, woody, dead hops and dark chocolate in taste. Roast and dark chocolate in aftertaste. Alcohol is too present. Sweet and boozy brew.

Flesje gedeeld door Benzai en gedronken met TomHendriksen. Diep zwart bier . Aroma is koffieachtig. Smaak is zoet en koffieachtig, dropachtig. Nasmaak is iets bitter. Bier om rustig van te genieten.

Gedeeld door Benzai. Het bier is pikzwart. Heeft geen schuim. De geur van rozijnen en/of fruit is duidelijk aanwezig. De smaak van caramelachtige en chocolade komen goed naar boven.

Christos (5862) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - JAN 16, 2016
(De Molen Sodom & Gomorra Barrel Aged) Bottle 330 ml at home, vintage 2012. Served into a snifter, ABV 11.9% Black coloured body, head consisting mostly of brown bubbles, bursting quickly. Aroma of roasted malts, whiskey, iodium, alcohol, some fruity touches after a swirl of the glass. Taste also of whiskey, roasted malts, coal, alcohol, light vanilla, light chocolate, a bit of oxidation but not annoying at all. Medium body, low carbonation, sticky palate. Pretty good.
