Bottle at the Anderson, cheers Jim! Pours a deep viscous black with a small thin white head. The cacao is evident on the nose and in the mouth though the chilli and the sea salt are a little absent on my palate. Big, rich and quite boozy, it is great but I’ll admit I was a bit disappointed

Bottle. Opaque black, small beige head. Aroma: burnt, roasted, smoked malts. Minor chili. Medium body. Medium dry taste. Very roasty, smoked, lightly hot. Light bitterness. Well made. Not my cup of tea.

330 ml bottle from St Albans Beer Shop, St Albans, UK. It pours deep dark brown with a creamy beige to brown head. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malts, caramel, candy, cacao. Taste is sweet at the beginning but then there are lot of spicy and chili notes. Good sensation in the mouth. Body is full, carbonation is average. Finish is spicy and long. Not convinced me at 100%...

Aromat intensywny. Lekko kwaskowe. Gładki w odczuciu. Wszystkie smaki i aromaty bardzo przyjemnie zbalansowane. Niczego nie ma za dużo. Alkoholu nie czuć. Świetny RIS.

(bottle) deepest brown colour with a frothy deep beige head. aroma of barnyard and fried pork belly, with lots of roasted grain, some carrot pancakes and red bell peppers. flavour is mostly the same, heavy roasted malts and beechwood smoke, with lots more banyard, bran flakes and a semi-hot chilli pepper finish. heavy-bodied with average carbonation.

Aromat: niezbyt intensywny, w nim bekonowe chipsy??!, też czekolada, rodzynki i inne suszone owoce, melasa trzcinowa. Oprócz tego dużo czekolady mlecznej i gorzkiej, cała masa kakao, melasa trzcinowa, jakiś przyjemny smak słodkich, świeżych owoców, niestety chilli uniemożliwia identyfikację.

nearbeer (5368) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - MAY 8, 2017
33 cl. bottled 30 Nov 2015. Opaque ebony with a thin sponge of cream. Nose is fried bacon, whole grain bread, earthy dark chocolate and molasses. Tastes of bacon, cast iron skillet, cocoa, whole grain toast, prickly green herb, charred wood and mint. Medium-heavy bodied with smooth, low-medium carbonation. Just a pleasant hint of roasted capsaicin develops late in the glass, otherwise would never suspect peppers in this one.

Draft at Konttori. Pitch black with light brown medium head. Aroma has alcohol and dark malts. Taste is pleasant smooth with dark malts, burnt coffee and some vanilla notes with staying warmth of alcohol.
