Bottled. Pours out in a clear dark golden colour with a firm white foam. Sweet malty aroma of toffee, almond-paste and over-riped oranges. Flavour of orange-peels, caramel, grassy hops, straw and and mild herbs. Medium-bodied. Finishes medium-bitter of white bread and orange-peels. Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 11, 2007
Dark brown colored, cloudy appearance with little yellow head. Yeasty and mildly spicy aroma with some chocolate, toffee and grains. High carbonation. Grain dominates also in flavor with chocolate and lemon, this hayish-Netherland hops also here with some yeast. Aftertaste dries with some spices and biting carbonation. fiulijn (21214) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 2, 2006
Hazy amber color, with red shades; thin head, probably low carbonation. The aroma shows some sweet malt and light fruitness. The mouthfeel is light, the flavor is not strong, but with some malt; there is still some yeast taste; unfortunately the bitterness is too low and the final too short. Malty aroma with some yeast and fruit. Cloudy, orange coloured with a lasting, off-white head. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter, quite yeasty, malty and fruity. Unimpressive. Otje (678) - Veendam, NETHERLANDS - AUG 24, 2006
Very hazy amber beer(poured too much yeast). Aromes of toffee, yeast and a lot of fruit(stonefruit that is). Tastes bitter, malty, fruity(also some cooked tomatoes), some sweetness and caramel/toffee. Finishes long bitter and fruity. Soft creamy mouthfeel, overly carbonated. Nice english style bitter/ale.

(75cl bottle, traded with bierkoning) Hazy amber colour with a short frothy yellowish head. Sweet malty, yeasty aroma with toffee and a distinctive fruitiness. Sweetbitter flavour, medium to light body, creamy mouthfeel. Malty and yeasty taste with notes of toffee, also slightly fruity (pine apples); medium-dry malty, yeasty bitter finish. pivnizub (10811) - Bochum, Porř, GERMANY - AUG 10, 2006
Bottle (75 cl, shared with MoritzF): Hazy, amber coloured, small but stable off-white head; exotic fruity aroma, sweet malt (caramel) in the nose, sweetish flavour, velvet MF; fruity, almost vinous finish with a bit of yeasty tartness in the very end. Nice, but boring....... thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 29, 2006
Bottle. Clear, deep amber, almost bronze with an off-white head that cloys to the glass. Sweet pear sirup aroma. Sweet flavours, mostly pear sirup, but some lightly roasted caramel and good offsetting bitterness as well. Dry finish. Good carbonation, medium-bodied. An above average Dutch ale with some unique features. MiP (15973) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - FEB 15, 2006
Draught, 5.5%. Cloudy dark brown colour. Small stable white head. Flavour has some roasted notes and is slightly sweet. High maltiness and low bitterness. Medium carbonation. DanielBrown (4546) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAR 6, 2005
On tap at In t’Wildeman, Amsterdam, and labelled as 5.2%. Amber colouring, persistent scummy top. Furniture polish aroma. This has a sour malt, metallic, nutty, tart flavour, reminiscent of Brown ale. Forceful, but lacking some levity. A little dense. Don’t know much about this style (presumably similar to Steam beer??) but glad to have had a sample.
