bierkoning (13352) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - JAN 11, 2005
5,4% on the label. Bought at the brewery, 75 cl bottle, bottled nov ’04. Orange color, lasting frothy head. Orange and curacao in the aroma. Hopbitter flavor with some orange. Medium bodied. Somewhat herbal with hints of ginger. The gingery esters seem to be part of the house character of the yeast culture from this brewery, which is derived from Orval yeast, according to the brewer. Well made and tasty beer. jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - MAR 1, 2004
Fruits and hops in the aroma. Orange color, cloudy, off-white head, good lace. Light sweet, fruity, grass, herbal, bitter, little dry. Technically a very good beer, but too hoppy for me.
