33cl bottle at home; bottle 37; bottled 2009. Pale orange/brown with a medium slightly off-white head with low retention. Full body with low carbonation. Quite sweet with a somewhat bitter finish. Caramel, honey, yeast, sweet fruits, sugar, spices and booze. Altough it was quite an old bottle that I’ve had it’s still a tasty brew. DutchMark (395) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 28, 2014
Very strong for a saison. I had bottle no. 101 from 2009. Almost no head but good prickly soft carbonation. Murky orange colour. Texture is oily creamy. Flavor is not very subtle. Honey sweet, citrus fruits, caramel, yeast and some bitter hops. It is not boozy but it is a heavy strong beer. Not a saison to me. It should be a summer beer. This is more something for a cold winter evening. Still tasty. laiti (8374) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 15, 2014
33 cl bottle @ hotel room, Amsterdam. Batch #64: brewed 28.03.2009, bottled 09.06.2009, BBE 09.06.2014gEUS (1637) - Linden, BELGIUM - JUL 4, 2014
Aroma has strong apricot and toffee notes typical to aged Belgian ales. And quite nothing else. Flavour has the same elements, but even more intensive. Also some stinging alcohol and peppery spices. No signs of saison here, just a well aged strong Belgian blonde. Well preserved, I must say. Reminds me a lot of some Belgian strong ales I’ve aged myself in my cellar. Perhaps La Chouffe is the closest one.
Bottle 249 - 750 ml at home. Pours clear orange with a small head. Sweet peppery nose, slight citrus. Sweet, rather full body, peppery finish. A-typical saison, especially due to the sweetness. sic1314 (4775) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - MAY 30, 2014
Bottle 324. Poured a murky medium amber, off white head. Aroma of musty fruit. Medium to full body, flavour is sweet berries. Nice, but not a saison by any stretch.

Bottled from Bierkoning. #1001, June 2009
Murky orange with almost no head.
Yeasty, malty, sweet with liquorice and sweet, dried fruits; raisins, figs, dates.
Slightly vinous. Complex flavour with oak-notes. Idiosynkrasie (7423) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - DEC 26, 2013
330ml bottle [#785, 06/2009]. Cloudy amber colour with average, creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity and grainy aroma, sweet-ish, hoppy overtones, a dusty, yeasty touch, more Belgian Strong than Saison-like character. Taste is sweet-ish, alcoholic, grainy, dusty, unspecific fruity, a honey touch, bitter finish. Inbreak (5804) - Loddefjord, NORWAY - OCT 21, 2013

Small mediumlasting head. Aroma is hay, yeast, dough, thinner, wet grain, cereal, almond cake. Taste is very sweet, sugar, almond cake, dough, yeast, wet grain, caramel, hay, honey, harsh grass. Little bitterness, very thin mouthfeel. I can’t believe this has ever been even close to a saison, and it has most certainly passed it’s glory days long time ago.

Hazy brown color with medium long lasting white head. Lively carbonation. Friuti aroma with honey, belgian yeast, citrus grassy hops. Taste, sweet malt, yeast, oranges, citrus zest, harsh bitterness in fruity finish.
