UPDATED: JAN 25, 2013 Brown/black color, nice brown head. Very full bodied taste. Very malty tasting, the bitterness lies in the background. Not much carbonation, but in my opinion it’s just enough. lefossoyeur (613) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 28, 2012
Dark brown amost black with a generous beige head. Strong fruity/chocolate nose with loads of raisiny character. Réminiscence of an ABT! Full bodied, warming palate, chocolate, plummy and a touch of roasted nuts. Medium carbonation. Long warming finale. Very nice. CapFlu (5126) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 23, 2012
(33cl bottle) Courtesy of Blomster in a trade. Pours a large lasting creamy beige head atop a black body. Nose of booze, cocoa nibs and black licorice. Very smooth, nice palate - you'd never know the ABV was +12%. I like the lasting toasted malt front and bitter hops. Properly made Imperial Porters must have some the greatest variations of flavour on the high alcohol end of styles. I really am enjoying this for Christmas. Thanks Christer!

Tasted from the bottle, on 15/12/2012.
Pours totally black with a lovely creamy head.
Aroma is lovely, quite complex, woody&cognac notes dominate, followed by silky, slightly toasty tones from malts.
Taste is awesome, rich and intense, with uncountable number of different tastes.
Complexity of aroma&taste, again, is incredible.

A wonderful beer with a great looking: Pitch black, low -but very well- carbonated and a tiny head. In mouth is velvety and very elegant, but powerful and very well balanced. The development is almost perfect, although I missed a little bit of lasting...In any case, a magnificent and majestic beer.

Bottle at home (thanks to Dennis for an IP trade) - 30/10/12.
Pitch black with no head, still as the night!
Big waft of cognac hanging over the glass, dark malts, almond, plastic, woody tones.
Tastes of dark fruits, cognac, touch of booze, wood, cognac.
Great mouthfeel, full bodied with very fine carbonation and a smooth velvety finish.
A great strong Porter, the alcohol is very well disguised and with a luxurious finish. Ibrew2or3 (8607) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - OCT 17, 2012
Courtesy of BOLTZ7555. It pours dark mahogany with mocha colored head of foam. The aroma offers up molasses, earthy sticky malts, a bit of chocolate, dark roasted malts and slivers of candy like boozy cognac. The taste delivers dark roasted malts, thin slivers of molasses and some mildly spicy black licorice. Into the finish I get some smooth sweet cognac like boozy notes. 33 cl fles @home. Eindelijke "de molen" welke me echt aanstaat. Een echte porter. ondanks de 12% geen alcohol smaak. compliment. BOLTZ7555 (3027) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - OCT 5, 2012
Dark brown nearly squid ink pour with a small latte head. Burnt wood, ash, booze, cocoa, roasted coffee and caramel in the nose. Flavor also brings with it some toasted marshmallow and campfire. Medium mouthfeel. Pretty nice beer. SimonRoller (391) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 4, 2012
