A ton of different aromas and flavors in this one. Cherry, coffee, chocolate, tobacco, molasses, and the obvious foundation in cognac. Alcoholic, but not overwhelming. Smooth mouthfeel. Another winner from B. d. Molen. Tried at the Cunigan’s tasting party in 2012. Temptation (257) - - NOV 13, 2012
A wonderful beer with a great looking: Pitch black, low -but very well- carbonated and a tiny head. In mouth is velvety and very elegant, but powerful and very well balanced. The development is almost perfect, although I missed a little bit of lasting...In any case, a magnificent and majestic beer. fugitive (2005) - Athens, GREECE - JAN 31, 2014
Bottle. Color black with almost no head. Aroma malt, roasted, caramel, chocolate, wood, alcohol, cognac. Taste sweet, malt, chocolate, cognac, fruits. CasperRuben (63) - - DEC 30, 2012
UPDATED: JAN 25, 2013 Brown/black color, nice brown head. Very full bodied taste. Very malty tasting, the bitterness lies in the background. Not much carbonation, but in my opinion it’s just enough.

This is what De Molen does best, brewing dark and complex beers. The taste is so overwhelming that it’s a tour de force to drink this one. But your efforts will be rewarded with a taste straight out of heaven. BRW (2781) - Barcelona, SPAIN - OCT 26, 2013

One of my favorites at BBF 2011, courtesy of Menno’s crew, thank you gentlemen! Murky brown color, brown head. Aroma of chocolate covered liqueur bonbons. Taste is over-roasted coffee, chocolate, vanilla, dark fruits. Great complexity and character, a real winner. Vaiz (4460) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - OCT 2, 2011
Draught @ BBF2011. Black murky pour, tan head. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, brandy, dried fruits and yeast. Flavor is smooth, chocolate, brandy. Very well balanced. Amazing brew. Ober (2812) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - OCT 12, 2011
Tap @ 3th Borefts 2011. A black colored beer, with a beige head. The aroma of dark malts with some vanilla, fruits like apple and chocolate. The taste is gentle bitter, dark fruits with vanilla, chocolate with in the back a little wood. The aftertaste is gentle bitter with some sweet chocolate.
