Aroma is dark malts, chocolate, fruit and vinous notes. The flavor is dark malts, dark fruit/vinous, berries, chocolate and a mildly sour/tart/warming finish. suurjuust (3767) - ESTONIA - APR 24, 2014
Bottle shared by martjoobolut, thanks! Dark brown, tan head. Nose is malts with sour hints, roast, sweetness, alcohol, dark fruits. Taste is similar to the nose, more dark fruits and sweetness, berry tones, sourness, ash, wood, alcohol. A very nice balance. Thick, sticky palate. Bottle 330 ml at home, into a snifter, no bottling date on the label, ABV 11%
Pours a very dark brown and almost totally black beer, with one finger of brown head, thick, with very good retention, leaving some big bubbles and foam islands on the surface and light lacing around the glass.
Aroma is heavy on dark fruits with lots of plums, molasses, very sweet in general, some chocolate, sugar, shery.
Taste is moderate sweet, with lots of chocolate and roasted malts too, ash, wood, very well hidden alcohol, some fortified wine notes.
Very thick body, low carbonation that works grear, quite sticky on the palate.
Overall a great beer. Lowenbrau (4728) - Asturias, SPAIN - APR 21, 2014

Where: The Bishops Arms (Folkungagatan), Stockholm.
Appearance: Black colour with a beige head.
Aroma: Chocolate, coffee, hints of sour cherries, alcohol.
Body: Full body, low carbonation.
Flavour: Chocolate, dark fruit. Vinous finish.
Bottle. Label has no "Imperial Porter" line on it. This beer just appeared on the local shelves recently but the one I got today was bottled over a year ago. I wonder where they kept it all this time? So I guess I am rating an aged sample now. Dark brown body with a minimal head. Aroma has smoked almonds, scotch and medium smoky roast. I am already drooling. Oily mouthfeel. Taste reflects the aroma. Very good. I would like to try a lighter version of this beer too - that would be a regular "Baltic Porter" then? panacea (94) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - APR 11, 2014
Pours pitch black. Minimum thick head. Nose is superb, sweet with dried friuts like raisin, plums and cherries. Taste is initially thin then flavours like the nose with bitter finish. Perfect body, oilish and thick. Love this beer, as usual from De Molen. solros (89) - stockholm, SWEDEN - APR 11, 2014
