Cask at The Grove, Huddersfield. 20.01.13. Was meant to be on tap, but the keykeg liner had split, and so was decanted into a cask! Clear, dark, chestnut brown. Bubbly, tan head. Dark chocolate mints. Vimto fruit cordial. The chocolate mint is there when tasting. Smooth, alcohol warmth evident (even after 5 hours in The Grove!). Long, bitter finish. Delightful. And scarily easy to drink, too! Dennoman (21) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - JAN 19, 2014
2007 vintage, 75 cl first bottling, #202/217. Major cheers to NoiZe for this one. This is arguably one of the finest beers by De Molen I’ve had. This has been on the bottle for 6 years and there’s no oxidization. Big molasses, coffee, candy sugar, soy sauce. Classic Molen smells and flavors going on here. Mouthfeel is soft and velvety, absolutely delicious. hallinghansen (3474) - Odense SV, DENMARK - JAN 12, 2014
18cl bottle #095 @ home. Black body with a medium light brown head. Nice coffee, chocolate notes with some roasted malt in the aroma. Flavour is bitter, coffee, chocolate, hops, roasted malt, molasses, some sweet bourbon-ish notes. Smooth and silky mouthfeel. Great. RichardGretton (4862) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 5, 2014
Bottle. Blackish beer with a strongish head. The aroma is roasted and sweet with bitterness. The flavour is very vinous with a high degree of maltiness, bitterness and some roastedness. Overall a nice strong dark ale. spacecube (1810) - Leeds, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JAN 1, 2014
330 ml bottle, pours almost black with no head, looks like a glass of cola. Chocolate malts with a silky smooth texture, dried fruit flavours in the background. Finish is short and balanced. Alcohol is hidden well. Carbonation soft. Very nice indeed.

Refrigerated 11.2 oz. brown bottle poured into a snifter. Pours black with small dark brown highlights and very small beige head. Aroma is rich roasty chocolate, medium/thick body, low carbonation, and little thin small bubble lacing. Taste is roasty, dark chocolate, some herbal hops, and some dark fruit, Best imperial porter I have had so far. Renobob (2064) - Besançon, FRANCE - DEC 19, 2013
Chocolat ultra-présent dans cette bière exceptionnelle. Arôme, palais et finale.
