COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
OG 1108, FG 1026, Color 388.7 EBC, Chinook and Saaz hops. Bitterness 93.5 EBU.

Stronger version of a Baltic Porter. Comparable with an Imperial Stout but without the heavily roasted malt character. This created a soft beer with strong hops in the finish.

Bottled. This beer seems to be more available now than a few years ago when it was Top 100. Deep mahogany color with clear edges and a fine ring of white head. Awesome aroma of smoke, caramel, licorice, blueberry and even and unexpected touch of orange citrus. Damn it smells delicious. Flavor follows nicely but with softer intensity. Sweet caramel and roasted malt but the complexity of the aroma isnt there. Finishes with medium dryness and a lasting flavor of espresso and spicy licorice. Dank!

Aged bottle at L42 - thanks to Ken. It pours jet black with a small beige head. The aorma is soft, sweet, rich roasted malt, dried fruits, Eccles cake, rocky road, cocoa and a touch of spice. The taste is slick, oily, sugary, earthy, toasty, rocky road, earthy, woody, aged malts, dried fruits, charred wood and spice with a earthy roast finish. Medium - full body and fine carbonation. Has held up pretty well. Decent gear.

UPDATED: NOV 8, 2017 Аромат солодовый, даже не чувствуется поджарка. Карбонизация слабая. Во вкусе поджаристый солод, ноты кофе, шоколада. Пиво приятное но без изюминки.

Brilliant porter! The difference between porter and stout still eludes me, but this is a brilliant beer nonetheless! Very good balance between peat and sweet, just like a good stout/porter is supposed to be. No port taste like some others, but more chocolade and coffee hints here. A definite tip for everyone!

Bottle 330 ml. Brownish-black color, brown foam. Aroma: sweet with toffee, caramel, honey, molasses, vanilla, malt, dried fruits (including prunes), slightly oxidized port wine. Taste: sweetish, almost liqueur with herbs, caramel and prunes, coffee with chocolate, burnt, cognac, long warming effect.

Bottle, opaque black beer, decent almond colored head. Aroma is molasses, brown sugar, cookies, coffee, malt, and dried plums. Taste is coffee, toasted barley, molasses, burnt sugar, dried plums. Palate is rich, but not thick or syrupy, carbonation average. This is kind of hoppy.

330ml bottle. Deep brown/black, oily and dark. Barley has any head. Nose - nutty, roasty, cocoa. Taste - cocoa, winy, toasty and roasty, some ending bitternesss. Big mouthfeel. Alcohol seems well integrated, drinks nicely for such a big beer. Pretty happy to have tried this one.
