Amber to brown, muddy body. Quite nasty looks. Fruity, bit sour, intense aroma. Bit disappointing, weak flavour.
bottle, 2008 vintage, pours a beautiful amber with a tall frothy light tan head. Cinnamon, brown sugar, and raisins mixed with a peat note, very pleasant nose. Light bodied biscuit and toasted malt flavors that have a mild sweet and sour character that ends with a smoke flavor that is more on the mild side. (Bottle, Monk’s Café, Wallingatan, Stockholm, 17 Feb 2009) Dark reddish brown colour with huge, beige head. Fruity, malty, slightly acidic nose with dried fruit, orange peel, dried apricots, spices and hints of smoke. Fruity, sourish taste with notes of dried fruit, orange peel, spices and sour notes of red-currant and tannin. Medium body, fairly dry. This was on the sour side, but sometimes smoke makes a beer feel sour. A bit suspicious form, but still drinkable and ok. Might give it a new chance. [ Courtesy of Molenbrouwer ]. Unclear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, moderate yeasty, smoke - peat, alcohol notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. 
On tap at Wildeman. Dark brown body, heavy head. Sweet nose, notes of molasses. Sweet, strong taste of brown sugar. Malty in the finish. Not as heavy as other Smokeds.

Trade with Fonefan. 2008 bottle. It is hazy, nice red-brown with a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of peat, smoke, malt and caramel. The flavour has sweetness and notes of smoke, light peat, malt, caramel and nuts. I love a smoked beer, if the sweetness is low. Bottle 2008. Not nice nose a little bit like smelly socks. NIce brown red color. Very smokey bockbeer, still fresh with little hint of acid. Aftertaste is like cold espresso and like an Islaywhisky.
