(Bottled) Very hazy, dark reddish amber with a medium, tanned head. Mild aroma of slightly burned malt and peaty smoke. Moderately smoky-malty, sourish flavor with lightly licoricey, salty-seaweedy flavor. Medium body with medium, soft and foamy carbonation. Borefts Bock was good, but this is not... the smoked malt just doesn’t fit into picture: it steals most of the existing complexity, replacing it with dull, peaty-smoky altiness. Bottle, 7.7% at LCRBM08. Good roasted aroma, slightly creamy. Very nice creamy, malty and nutty, as if nuts were added. Pleasant carbonation. skortila (5970) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - OCT 29, 2008
Bottle @ LCRBM 2008. Aroma has some milk and maltiness. Brown coloured with an off-white head. Taste has malts and is a bit lactic. Not my thing. bierkoning (13614) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - OCT 27, 2008
Bottle @ LCRBM 2008. Brown color. Malt, peat, flowery hops and butter in the aroma. Malty sweetish, slightly peaty flavor with roast and a hint of butter. Fairly well balanced beer. NoiZe (2322) - Zeist, NETHERLANDS - OCT 26, 2008

Burned, malty and dark fruity aroma. Flavor is smoked, burned malts, bready, nutty, some bitterness. Very nice.
Small yellowish head, gone in seconds over fully hazy brown beer with a yellow & purple shine. Sweet nose, raisins, nuts, fusels. Old nuts, old bread, sweet flavours with very little bitterness whatever. Like oxydized, but not oxydized. In the same vein, I do not find any smoked/phenolic notes. Light to medium bodied, but very slick. A bit dull, not very impressive, liked the other Molen Bocks more. jbrus (4989) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - OCT 26, 2008
Bottle@LCRBM08. Light peaty and tangerine aroma. Light hazy, brown color, beige head, good lace. Sweet, light peaty, light bitter, fruity. Sticky mouthfeel. Ober (2819) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - OCT 24, 2008
A dark red/brown colored beer, with a thick beige head. The aroma of roasted/burned malts with some dark fruits, with notes of hop and malts. The taste is dry bitter, smoked malts, dark fruit and some caramel. The aftertaste is bitter smoked. TrefwoordPunk (1289) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - OCT 16, 2008
Bottle 33 cl, as Borefts turf bock2008. Pours a cloudy dark brown with a big yellowish head and a sourish aroma with notes of hops and malts. The taste is a bit sour too, with notes of caramel, smoke, sweetish roasted malts. A very nice spicy and bitter finish. Highly recommended. Borresteijn (7412) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - OCT 10, 2008
Bottle @ the bockbierborrel of my faculty. Label says Borefts Turf Bock 2008, ABV 7.7%, so I’m not sure if this is the same beer. Deep dark reddish brown beer, creamy beige head. Aroma of peat, roasted malts. Flavour is peaty, sweet, roasted malts, caramel. Flavour underneath is rather sour. Fullbodied. Didn’t like the sourness. Not an average bock though.
